The black class 08 waited apprehensively inside the main shed of the Dieselworks. He had come as quickly as he could after hearing of Diesel 10's accident.

The golden warship sat motionless in front of his shed, pale-faced and quiet. His body was covered in dents and scratches. On his right side, his outer paneling had been removed so that the workers could access his engine, which had sustained some damage.

Diesel had been sitting there, for how long he didn't know. He was worried sick about the damaged engine in front of him. It was no secret that the diesels on the Island of Sodor weren't exactly given the best treatment, and Diesel 10 had taken it upon himself to look after all of them. Diesel didn't know what he would do without him…

As Diesel was lost in thought, Diesel 10's eyes fluttered open and he let out a little groan. Diesel looked up, to see a workman pat the warship on the cheek.

"You'll be alright," the workman said.

This was all that the shunter needed to hear. He smiled, letting out an audible sigh of relief. He began to back out of the building, when Diesel 10 spoke:

"Come here."

Diesel gulped, coming to a stop before slowly moving forward. "Yes?" he said meekly.

"Were you here this whole time?" Diesel 10 inquired.

"Well, um…" Diesel trailed off, flustered.

"He was, indeed." A workman spoke up. "He was awfully worried about you."

"Is this true?" Diesel 10 asked.

Diesel merely blushed, looking even more flustered.

Diesel 10 chuckled a bit. "There's no shame in it," he said rather softly. "I'm touched," he added.

"R—Really? I—I mean—" Diesel stammered, his cheeks flushing an even brighter shade of red. "I thought you were—you scared me, Tenny!" he said, feigning a cross expression.

"What have I told you about calling me that?" said Diesel 10.

"Sorry, I—oof!" Diesel exclaimed as he was pulled forwards by the warship's claw.

"I'm going to be fine," Diesel 10 said, gently platting the black shunter. Diesel just smiled, happy that everything would be ok. The warship smiled fondly back at him. "Don't you worry yourself, I promise I'll be ok." He said.
