Dark Resurrection

Author's Note: Happy belated New Years to everyone since I haven't been on fanfic at all in the past few months! Here's my first new story of 2012 involving two of my favorite things; Evangelion and Tekken! Hope you enjoy and maybe you'll even see a few of your favorite characters! Also these first few chapters are kind of like the character cut scenes from Tekken.
Introduction
In the 2000, a meteorite crash landed in Antarctica and upon impact killed half the earth's population. This was known as Second Impact and soon after the world went into chaos. During these dark times governments fell and corporations took over; the strongest being the Mishima Zaibatsu conglomerate headed by the powerful Heihachi Mishima. Even before Second Impact Heihachi was a major power in the business world and even hosted the King of Iron Fist tournament to showcase the best fighters in the world. Also as an added bonus, the winner would gain control of the company and host the following tournament.
Many years after the first tournament, the power of the Mishima Zaibatsu changed hands and underwent dark and supernatural events. 11 years after Second Impact the third King of Iron Fist tournament was held and unveiled Heihachi's true motive; to be immortal and rule over the world for eternity using the power of the fighting God, Ogre. Although he failed, he was persistent and held the forth King of Iron Fist tournament 2 years later. By then his plans were known to the world and many organizations tried to find a way to stop him. Unfortunately, Heihachi was already too powerful and seemed like he would finally achieve his goal of immortality until the end of the tournament when an explosion happened and killed the tyrant. Heihachi Mishima was dead and the world could give a sigh of relief as the worst world leader was dead…or so they thought.
In the year 2015 the King of Iron Fist tournament 5 was announced by a mysterious benefactor who has already taken over the Mishima Zaibatsu. Who is this mysterious figurehead and what do they have planned? Could they be worse than Heihachi and destroy the world? Only time will tell as fighters from around the world enter to find out what's going on and uncover the truth. But before the tournament begins you must get to know your fighters…
Author's Note: So yeah here's the intro to this story that I just kinda thought of. I understand if some people get confused and there's two reasons for that; the first being that since I haven't written anything in a few months I'm kind of rusty on the storytelling front and the second reason is that Tekken has a very odd story, at least to me. I haven't played all the Tekken games and only started when 5 came out. With a few reads on Wikipedia I think I get the just of it and while it is an interesting story you fight some really stupid shit in that game! As this story progresses I promise things will get less confusing but until then reviews would be much appreciated!
