The group of survivors approached the beach. Sayid and Juliet had just finished burying the bodies of the Others. Hurley had talked to Jack on the walkie-talkie too long ago, and Juliet was getting impatient, she wanted to see Jack, she wanted to make sure he was OK; but at the same time she was scared of how he might react to the kiss she had given him.

Jack walked among the survivors, when he saw the familiar beach he felt strangely at home. The first person Jack saw was Jin, he watched Sun from the corner of his eye walk pass him and run to Jin. Jack watched the couple kiss and speak what he could only imagine were love words in Korean. He smiled and kept walking, he saw Bernard approach the group and give him a quizzical look. Jack stopped walking and gaze around the group to help Bernard find Rose. When he saw her, Jack signaled Bernard who didn't even bother to say thank you and walked in Rose's direction.

Sawyer and Juliet watched the group approach the beach. Juliet felt so relieved, but she didn't know what to do; actually, she knew she wanted to throw herself into Jack's arms, but she didn't want to looks desperate for affection. After all, she was afraid of his rejection. Sawyer left her side and walked to his tent, he stood outside, he tried to look calm but he was searching for a face among the group. Juliet stood in the same place, but she had given up trying to look 'cool'

Jack and Sawyer shared glances and nodded at each other. Jack saw Kate and Sawyer look at each other. Jack continued to walk pass them, if they had hugged, or if they had kissed, if they were about to fight again or if anything at all had happened between them, Jack had completely ignored it. Sawyer and Kate were behind him now.

Juliet saw him, her heart stopped. Jack kept walking toward her, and she realized that all she wanted was to hold him close. Juliet took a few steps and realized how Jack was opening his arms to her. She smiled. They hugged, he brushed her long blond pony-tail, and she placed her hands on the nape of his head. Jack's short hair would come out through her fingers. Juliet closed her eyes and let out a sight of relief. Jack heard her deep breath of relief, and suddenly realized that someone had been waiting for him, that someone had been worried about him. Jack knew that Juliet had been waiting for him, during all his time on the island he had forgotten what it was like to be loved and have someone wait, care and worry for him after the many suicide missions on the island. It was a beautiful feeling, he thought, his left hand kept brushing Juliet's blonde pony-tail, his fingers intertwining with her golden curls. Jack closed his eyes and with his right arm and hand he tightened his grip on Juliet's waist.
