~Chapter One~

The Air was cold and empty, the candles in the darkness faint, the gravestones scattered across the large plain.

Yet there stood a single woman a mere twenty-one maybe? twenty-two?

Her blonde hair became rugged and messy as it tried to flow against the wind, but it didn't matter, nothing mattered, after all.

Another watched in the darkness, breathing slowly as he approached her, he placed his hand on her shoulder, and uttered not a single word. If it anyone else, maybe she would've killed him, but the satyr stayed her hand.

"Wh-Why? Of all the Gods-damned people in the world, w-"

Her eyes brimmed with tears, and so did his.

"C-C'mon, it's late, we need to go, it's late-and the Athena cabin's looking for you."

"Just give me a minute..."

The satyr backed away, running into the forest.

The woman got on her knees, wiping the dust off the giant gravestone middle of the yard, smiled, then walked away.
