Dean Winchester, Monster hunter, ladies man, vessel to the Angel Michael was dying. Or rather he felt as if he was, in all honesty he had nothing more than the common flu. Castiel could not heal him as he had lost his Angel juice so Dean just had to suck it up and ride out the trip for the next two weeks. Until then Sam, Castiel, and Bobby picked up on the monster hunting while Dean was laid up in the panic room with nothing but chicken soup and tissues for a friend. Sam and Castiel were fairly good at hunting together so that was not a problem, and they rather enjoyed the change of pace with the music in the Impala, the only problem anyone had was the driving. Now Castiel was never big on cars so he let Sam do all the driving. Finally at the end of two weeks Dean emerged from the3 well rested and itching to get back to his baby.
"Hey everyone" he said as he walked into the kitchen fully dressed "miss me?"
"Hello Dean" Cas smiled fondly at his charge "I assume that you are feeling better."
"I'm feeling better than better Cas I feel amazing"
Sam smiled "That's great Dean, if you're up to it me and Cas were just wrapping up a case and we need to drive to-"
"Drive? Let's go!" Dean grinned and grabbed his keys off the kitchen table and walked out "I'll be waiting in my baby"
Sam rolled his eyes at Castiel and grinned they got up and walked to the impala so see Dean rubbing down the hood and gazing at it lovingly.
"Are we interrupting something?" Castiel asked with a smile as he got into the backseat, Sam chuckled as he sat in the passenger seat and Dean just grinned as he sat in the driver's seat. After Sam filled him in on the cover of vampires in the next state over they were on the road.
"So how did you guys cope without me?"
"Pretty well I believe, I quite enjoyed Sam's company" Castiel smiled in Sam's direction and Sam turned around to smile at Cas
"Oh come on there had to be something that annoyed you about each other" Dean poked at the situation slightly upset that they didn't seem to miss him at all.
"Not at all." Sam smiled
"Well..." Cas looked out the window
"Well?" Dean asked
"Sam's driving skills are not exactly up to par with yours Dean" Cas smiled softly "the amount of accidents we almost got into was quite impressive."
Dean laughed loudly "it was that bad?"
"Anything your imagining it was ten times worse and twice as dangerous" Dean was laughing loudly while Sam's face was a cross between a blush of extreme embarrassment and a bitch face of epic proportion. "I missed you Dean" Castile said almost silently as he looked out the window trying to look as though he had never said anything.
"Awwww" Dean had a big goofy grin on his face "I missed you two Cassie"
"Don't call me that Dean" Cas was wishing he had just kept his mouth shut
"Oh Cassie there's no need to be ashamed, of course you missed me, in a joy to be around!" Dean laughed
"Blow me" Cas grumbled taking a page out of the Winchester book on rude comebacks
"Is that and statement or a challenge?" Dean smirked looking at Cas threw the rear view mirror
the widening of Castiel's eyes and the blush that appeared on his face was totally worth the accident they almost got in.
