If love be gentle

Let me not harm him so

In each day we go through together

Let my presence never bring forth irritation

Let me prove myself so

To never stray away

From master and guardian

If love be beautiful

Let me hear him sing

A voice of an angel

And I shall sleep in peace

Let me not shy away

Only an innocent mademoiselle am I

Looking forward to that day

They say love is blind
