would go everywhere to get you, so why is it that all you have to do
is smile to get me?"

Temari doesn't know just how much he as given up for her.
The reason he hasn't been watching the clouds lately is because of her. Accepting B and A class missions, traveling to villages and training more than he has done all his life is always because of her.
"You're still a chunnin?"
With one sentence, she is able to change his course of actions. Hell, with just one look she is able to make him feel things that he has dubbed 'troublesome'.
This is his first time being in a relationship, and having an IQ of 200 was utterly useless in that area. With his little knowledge of girls, he tries to be the boyfriend that women expect.
What he failed to realize is that Temari isn't just any women.
In doing so, he has given up his dreams for the future. Being with her is dangerous and unpredictable; his plans never follow through with her. One reason he is enthralled by her, yet finds her much more troublesome.
His efforts are useless though, no matter what he does, or where he goes, doesn't seem to impress her. He often wonders why he makes all this effort, when there are other girls who require less attention and energy.
But after a grueling day of training, they both finish it off with a match of Shogi.
As he is giving the final move that makes him the victor, he foresees her anger of defeat. Repeatedly, he makes the mistake of forgetting to let her win their matches, and awaits the violent consequences that come. Just when he thinks he has figured out her next move, she surprises him.
A sweet smile forms on her face, one that makes his heart beat faster and leaves him dumfounded.
"You win."
And that is all it takes to make everything worth it.
