Everyone knows about them; the Saint and the Sinner.

Everyone knows that if you mess with the Saint [in even the slightest way] you'll see the Sinner in your nightmares and he'll return whatever you did to the Saint tenfold to you, and the Saint won't be any wiser.

Everyone knows that if you threaten the Sinner, the Saint will give up her life and all that heaven has to offer to protect him.

Everyone knows that the Saint won't see that everything the Sinner does in the end is for her.

Everyone knows that the Sinner won't see how much the Saint cares for him and if he does he ignores it; for her benefit.

Everyone knows the Sinner will never see how much anyone cares for him; ever again.

Everyone knows the Saint will never see that everyone worries for her, because she never had anyone worry when she needed it.

Everyone knows that the Saint can survive without the Sinner; that she can do her daily tasks without him; that she can live day by day without him. But everyone knows that she prefers to do it all step by step with the Sinner than without him.

Everyone knows that the Sinner can't survive without his Saint, that he can act like he can do his daily tasks without her, but in reality he can't and if he ever had too he would not be able; and that he would surely die if he had to and whilst it should be by natural causes that he die of; but natural causes will not take him fast enough and thus everyone knows that he would take his own life so that he could continue living step by step with the Saint in the afterlife.

Everyone knows that the Saint and Sinner love each other.

Even if they won't say it to each other; and everyone knows they prefer to say it in looks and embraces that never last long enough to truly speak; than say the words out loud.

Everyone knows that Lisbon is the [his] Saint, and Jane will always be the [her] Sinner.
