Chapter 1:
The breeze felt good against her bare back. Kallen Kozuki lay stripped, her face buried in a pillow. Unsure of what to do. Her mind in a state of confusion. Trying to put the pieces together.
Trying to unveil the truth. The truth that had been warped so many times before.
She didn't know what to believe. Zero had been her hero, her hope, her miracle. He'd put his utmost fate in her. She had protected him with every bit of strength she could have possibly mustered. He gave her a sense of being and importance.
Kallen sat upright, mumbling to her self. Facial expression unreadable, heart pounding, the tears dripping down her pale checks. Gripping the pillow as is she were holding on to her last bit of life.
"Zero, You idiot!" she screamed abruptly thrusting the pillow into the door that lay ahead.
Her pain was agonizing. Clawing her nails deep within her shoulder blades, the uncontrollable shaking, mind racing. The anger and frustration of it all, was driving her to madness.
Moments of deep silences passed...still in pain.
"Why?" She spoke softly to herself, wrapping her arms around her knees and dropping her head.
"Why?" shaking her head "Why?"
She lifted her head to see a small glimpse of light peeking in from the window. Squinting as the sun began to blind the room.
The words whispered out.
"The sun just blinds us from all the darkness and evil in the world. Attempting to prevent people from seeing the reality of things, taking advantage of those who are easily influenced by their surroundings... an evil creation."
"A lot like me, something the world would be better off without."
"I've killed countless people, taken so many lives, and destroyed so many families. Yet, I'm aloud to live."
"Aloud to live a two faced life."
"I'm a protector of the people, yet I'm also the slayer of people."
"I'm the most despicable kind of person out there."
"Yet, I'm aloud to live."
"Aloud to live this stupid life"
