Ally:
A month ago my parents announced that we were moving back to civilization and selling our home in the center of nowhere to a family of scientists who study dark matter and antimatter. It nearly tore me apart to know that I wouldn't be able to see the stars anymore with all the light pollution, because after all, what else is Alpha Girl going to do? Certainly not look at the ground for bugs like Kenny does.
Kenny wasn't happy about the move either but after the eclipse, we both seemed to be a little more willing to leave. It's like the glowing angelic rays beaming down on us somehow brainwashed us into thinking that civilization might be okay… Kenny was less willing than I was though, because he had never been in a real civilization and everything he had learned about the suburbs and life in a city he learned from Days of Our Lives, which is the only thing on the TV at the grocery store one hour away.
I was really upset that I couldn't talk to Eta, Glenn, and Peggy anymore though. Who else would be my friends? Ryan grew up and started chasing around hotties (whatever those are) and lifting weights. Jack and I only knew each other for a week, but he lived Ohio or something and odds are we may never see each other again, and I still think Bree is a brat. A brat who I will only see once a year, none the less; but I guess we've had our moments. She mentored me in the way of real life, after all. Which reminds me, tomorrow is the first day of school. Real school, in a building that you don't live in and everything! With actually kids!
My mind has been blown to the farthest reaches of the universe.
