It Just Vanished!
"I don't like how it looks! It's just spinning and spinning inside that machine! Besides, it's pink!" pouted Natsu.
"Well you make it by spinning it! Duh, you idiot! And your own hair is pink!" retaliated Lucy.
"Well! ...um... Happy doesn't like it either! Tell her, Happy!"
"Aye, sir!"
"How do you even know if you've never tried it before?! I'm getting one and that's it!" huffed an irritated Lucy. She went to the vendor and paid for the snack with a few jewels and returned to her companions. She was just about to put it into her mouth when a hand stopped her.
"Lucy, don't!" warned Natsu. "It could be dangerous!" However, he backed down once Lucy glared at him.
"E-er... There could be a hidden magic potion?" nervously suggested Natsu. Lucy sighed.
"I've had these before, it's perfectly safe to eat." Continuing from where she left off, Lucy plopped some of the sweet into her mouth and waited for it to melt.
"Mmm! You guys should really try some!" Natsu stared suspiciously at what she was holding and actually considered her offer. What if it really is good, and I'll like it? wondered Natsu. But then again, what if it's terrible and Lucy is tricking me into eating it?
"Natsu, hurry up and choose if you want some or not. If you don't decide soon, I'm gonna eat it all," stated Lucy impatiently. Natsu sweatdropped at his options. Well, I can just make her owe me if she's tricking me, thought Natsu.
"Fine, gimme some then!"
"No, Natsu! Don't do it!" cried Happy, worried for his friend.
"It's fine, Happy! If anything goes wrong, I can blame it on Lucy!" replied Natsu. An anime cliche angry tick mark appeared on Lucy's head.
"Oi, you either want it or don't want it!"
"Just hand some over already!" At that, Lucy tore a piece of her candy off and gave it to Natsu. He checked it to see if there was anything wrong with it, but midway through, Lucy interrupted him.
"Just eat it, you moron!" He popped it into his mouth, and was truly surprised at what took place a few seconds later. Pure shock showed on his face.
"What?" asked Lucy, a little concerned for the Dragon Slayer.
"It-it... It..." sputtered Natsu.
"Spit it out already!" exclaimed his partner.
"It just vanished!" Lucy rolled her eyes.
"Natsu. That's what cotton candy does."
