"3 Days Time":

A Prelude to "Bride of the Rin Jyu Den"

By Trinity

Mele was beyond shocked. All she had done was go to Rio to ask him if he needed her to do anything for him and he'd risen from his meditation spot, faced her, moved towards her and out of the blue, gave her the most passionate kiss she could have ever imagined. There was a fire in his kiss, an emotion she though he was incapable of. And then his next words stunned her, shocked her and moved her all at once.

"Mele... in three days time, you are to become my wife."

He spoke the words in his usual flat manner of speaking, his eyes focused on her face.

"Rio-sama..." She murmured, her eyes wide. "I...I...I'm honored." Inside, she cursed. What a stupid thing to say to Rio informing her that she was going to marry him and have no say in the matter. Not that she wanted a say. She didn't care. She would be by Rio-sama's side.

"In two days, you will undergo the Command ceremony." He informed her.

She nodded. The ceremony meant her swearing absolute loyalty to the Rin Jyu Ken...and to Rio. "I understand, Rio-sama."

He kissed her again. "Don't disappoint me, Mele."

She knelt before him. "I won't Rio-sama. You have my word."

There was a ghost of a smile on his face and then he returned to his meditation.

Mele quickly left the room, trying very hard to contain her excitement.

In three days... she'd be Rio's bride... just three days until her dreams came true.
