Tuesday 2:16 A.M.
A knock on the door woke him up. At first he thought it was just his imagination, but not soon after he closed his eyes again, a more persistent knock got him out of bed. Only a handful of people knew where he lived, S.H.E.I.L.D., the Avengers, and his neighbors who don't really know who he is. He lives in Brooklyn in a ten story apartment on the fourth floor. He notices its pouring rain, with lightning flashing every twenty seconds, and wind howling against the building. That makes him wonder again about who in their right state of mind would be out during this storm.
His question was soon answered though after he made it to the door and pulled it open. Standing in front of him was the youngest Avenger, drenched from head to toe, and a little pale from what he could tell. "Clint…?" He sighed with a little questioning in his voice.
"Hey, Cap. How's it going?" He said so casually that Steve could tell something was off.
Steve looked at him for a moment, stunned that the kid was standing right in front of him.
"Uhh, can I come in?" Clint asked, clearly uncomfortable.
"Oh, yeah, come in." He led Clint into the living and sat him down on the couch. Steve took his seat across from him on the coffee table and waited for and explanation.
"I ran into a little problem."
Steve snorted at him, "Yeah, I got that."
"Well, um….Okay, so someone came after me and I didn't know who else to go to."
Steve nodded, he distinctly remembered that Natasha was on a mission, for who knows how long, Thor was in Asgard, Bruce was ran away again after some mishap, and Stark doesn't deal well with other people.
"I just need a place to crash for a little while." Clint added.
"Well first things first, you need a shower, you smell like you just ran threw a sewer."
Clint hesitated at that. "Well…"
"Of course you ran threw a sewer. Come on, follow me." Steve led the young man to the bathroom. "The shampoo and conditioner are in the shower, the towels are under the sink, and I'll go get you something to wear for tonight." With that Steve left the kid by himself to figure out how the shower worked.
Steve rummaged through his drawers try to find something that would fit Clint. He ended up with a slightly small white t-shirt and black sweats that got shrunk in the washer. He knocked on the bathroom door and heard the water shut off. "Yeah?" Clint called through the door.
"I got some clothes for you, I'm just going to leave them by the door."
"Thank you!" Clint yelled back over the sound of the water turning back on.
Shaking his head in amusement, Steve went back to the kitchen to make some hot coco.
Not five minutes later Clint came walking into the kitchen in too big of clothes, still shivering a bit, and drying his hair with his towel.
"Well, at least you don't stink anymore." Steve handed a mug to him. "Here, that should warm you up a bit."
They both drank silently as the storm raged on. "So, what exactly happened?" Steve asked trying to break the silence.
"I don't really want to talk about it."
Silence took over once again.
Awhile after both Steve and Clint were done with their hot chocolate. Steve looked over at Clint as he was trying to cover up his yawn. The man chuckled, "You tired?" He asked even though he already knew the answer. Clint nodded providing another yawn in the process.
"Alright, well lucky for you I have a spare bed, come on." Steve helped him up and walked to the guest bedroom. "Well, here it is. If you need anything I'm just in the room to the left." Steve walked out of the room, "Goodnight, Clint." He yelled over his shoulder.
He made his way back into his room and almost instantly fell asleep on his bed.

Things you should know.
Clint is 23 (barely) and Steve is 34.
Clint is the youngest out of all the Avengers. Next youngest is Natasha and she's 28.
Age of Ultron DOESN'T apply.
Will be at least 6 chapters long.
So, what did you guys think?
I always wanted Steve and Clint's relationship to grow, and the movies aren't cutting it, so I decided to write about it.
They will be a bit OOC, just a fair warning, but I want it that way.
P.S. I know it's a little short, but the chapters will get longer.
Let me know if you guys like this story, and like I say, the more reviews the faster I update!
