I play my guitar soft and slow and sing:
I remember tears streaming down your face
When I told you it was time to go.
I look at the walls of my small room as I turn in a circle and keep playing. Soft and slow. And sweet.
When all her shadow finally killed your light.
A tear. One tear streamed down my face as I kept playing.
I rememer you said 'can't leave him here alone'
But all that's dead and gone and passed tonight.
I want to keep playing, but I hear a knock on my door.
"Hello?" I say. My voice is so soft, almost a whisper.
"It'th me." My boyfriend says through the door. His lisp is so strong. I open the door and hug him.
"How are you?" I ask, looking into his eyes.
"Mituna ith thad becauth I came here."
"Oh?" I grab my guitar and plucked at the strings. "If he is sad, spend time with him. I will not be dissapointed, I guess." Sollux pulled me close to him and wiped that one tear from my cheek. The one tear that I had cried in quite a while. Sollux kissed me with his soft lips.
"I love you. Nothing will ever come before you. I love you too muth." he said, almost poetically.
After a few hours of us talking, Sollux said he loved me but he had to go to work. I decided to play guitar again. I plucked at the strings for a second. Then something clicked in my head.
Love of mine, it's my time to die.
And I must leave you behind, I'll fade away into the dark.
I smiled as I walked around my room.
A blinding light, my vision blurs and goes white.
And darling you hold me tight, and weep showers of sparks.
I dance around, beaming at white I was coming up with. Spins, followed by twirls, followed by bounces.
Sussurations in my ears, whisper there's no need to fear
But it breaks my little heart to leave you, my dear
Just lay down here beside me as my soul embarks,
and I will fade away into the dark.
Then I fell. I tripped in the middle of a bounce. I hit my head hard as I fell, making myself unconcioius. I remember waking up in the hosptal , Sollux crying by my bed. I grabbed his hand, making him jump.
"Aradia! Oh my God you're okay. I wath tho worried about you. I left work early- jutht in cathe." he kissed my hand tenderly. I just noticed a cast on my opposite wrist.
"When did you find me?" I asked.
"An hour ago. I wath thankful that you were jutht unconthious. I wouldn't be able to live with mythelf if you pathed away." he said, looking into my eyes. I hugged him tightly.
"I love you, Sollux." I said, blushing.
"I love you, too, Aradia." Sollux said to me.
