Ara - SD
The elgang had made it to Berthe's layer and they were fighting viciously. They had been doing fine, until Add made a fatal miscalculat5ition. He had been so focused on protecting Ara that he had not been paying any attention to Berthe. The wolf like demon howled, and Add had whipped his head around.
A flash of blue energy was emitted out of the malevolent beast's mouth. It was coming straight for Add. The blue energy whizzed toward him at the speed of sound. Like an arrow locked on the bird. 'Dammit! I'll end up just like mother and father!' Then he heard music. Or was it a voice?
(My Last Breath – Evanescence)
"Add!"
A flash of silver hair appeared in front of him as he was knocked towards the floor. He was alive. An angel had appeared in front of him and saved him! But something was wrong. Angels aren't supposed to be covered in blood. And angels didn't scream in pain. The reality of the situation hit him as he gasped.
His angel was Ara, the innocent soul that had saved him from insanity. She clenched her side, as her silver hair and tails faded away, replaced with long ebony hair slick with blood. Her right side was crimson red and leaking. Ice framed her pale face from the attack. She slowly slid to the floor. The other members shrieking and rushing to help her.
He turned towards the monstrosity that had hurt his angel. That had taken away her happiness. "Doomsday!" He yelled as he began to glow with purple energy, his pupils dilating. A storm of purple energy surrounded him as the howls of agony of Berthe filled the chapel.
A huge explosion occurred, and when the dust cleared, Berthe slumped down dead. He quickly regained his senses and rushed over to Ara, he caressed her cheek as she grabbed his arm weakly. "Ara don't leave." He pleaded. "We need you. I need you!" Ara smiled. "Add… We both know I will not make it. Smile from now on, so I will know you're happy when I'm gone."
"No! Ara, no!" He begged, the same familiar despair eating his heart. Then she began to sing. Their song. But in the situation, it horrified him.
"Hold on to me my love. You know I can't stay long. All I wanted to say was I love you and I'm not afraid."
Tears rolled down his cheeks as he clutched her hand. The other members crying as well.
(A week later)
"Ara? Are you alright?" Add asked as he sat next to her on the tree. She nodded and smiled. "It's just that I'm wondering why I survived that battle. Add's eyebrows rose in confusion. "What do you mean?! Don't say things like that!" He growled as he hugged her. She patted his head. "Add, sometimes we need to let go of dreams. Add, it's time to wake up…"
Wake up… Wake up… Wake up…
Add woke up from his dream. He was back in his reality, where there was nothing to live for, and there was no Ara.
Closing your eyes to disappear. You pray your dreams will leave you here. But still you wake to know the truth… No one's there…
