The music thumped through the speakers, lights flashed and the horde gathered on the dance floor moved in time to the beat. The vibe was electric, and Emma felt it even stronger as she broke away and pulled Ruby over to the bar for another shot.
Regina was not having such a good time. Henry was missing, run off to Emma no doubt.
Not wanting to leave her son's safety to chance, she decided she had no choice but to find the blonde and make sure Henry was alright, even if he wasn't going to come home with her.
Able to track Emma's magic using her own, Regina soon found herself standing in front of Storybrooke's only night club. Of course, she sighed to herself.
She paused, put on her best authoritative look, and pushed open the door.
Across the other side of the bar, Hook saw Emma at the bar, and decided to take his shot. Or rather, put something in Emma's shot. He'd been patient for long enough. He was arrogant enough to assume Emma wanted him, she just needed to realise it. He hoped this little concoction would get her to be more… agreeable.
Regina spotted Ruby first, and soon saw the blonde next to her. She marched over and stopped in front of Emma, folding her arms.
"Hellooo miss evil queen"
Regina sighed
"Emma, where's our son?"
"Snow and what'shisfacehave Henry, he's probably fast asleep by now"
"I see. Thank you for your time sheriff"
"Come on Regina… I was only joking. You're not evil really… I mean apart from tryna kill us a couple of times…"
Emma rambled off, realising she wasn't quite sure why she cared if Regina was upset at the use of her old, painful, nickname.
"How many have you had?"
"That doesn't… I'm not really… I don't know." Emma finished lamely. Regina was just looking at her bemused "But I do know, that you have not had enough!"
Ruby gave her a warning look, but it was too late.
Emma was already holding her own shot glass to Regina's lips, and by the time Regina realised what was doing, the glass was already empty.
She spluttered.
But it was too late.
From the moment the liquid touched her lips, Regina was heavily intoxicated.
Hook was standing behind Emma, equally surprised and very unhappy. He faded into the background with a vague whispered threat that no one heard nor cared about.
Turns out, a drunk evil queen was a lot more fun than a sober one….
The next morning
Regina awoke the next morning, feeling surprisingly refreshed considering how intoxicated she had been last night. In fact, she felt better than she had in a long while. After snuggling back down and enjoying the warm soft sheets for a moment, she decided she'd have to get up sometime. Besides, she could really do with a warm shower…
Regina left the bed, stretched, and headed towards the shower room. She looked for her dressing gown briefly as she went, but it was not where to be found. It didn't really matter if she was naked right now anyway, Henry would probably spend the day with the so-called Charmings.
She opened the door, first noticing the steam already clinging to the glass shower door, and then noticing the wet blonde singing Spice Girls under the stream of water.
A/N what happens from that point is up to you and your imagination.
