He had never meant for any of this to happen. He honestly didn't understand when everything just went so fucking wrong. It must have been sometime after Laura and he had left Beacon Hills, when Peter was left Alpha-less. He knew that was a bad idea, but he just wanted out so bad.
That place, it just held painful memories for him. it still does. And then Laura came back, and she died in the same place their family had. She was murdered by their blood. By a man he thought so damaged that even the gods from above would never be able to heal him. But by some fucked up chance, Peter pulled through, killed Laura, ruined Scott's life, and turned his upside down.
In all, it turn into one giant fucklebucket. And then, even after he and his teenage band of mutant puppies with baggage had killed one big bad after another(Peter, Jackson, Jennifer, The Alpha Pack, Peter again.[secretly, he thinks his Uncle will always be up to no good, but what can he do?]) they still are in the middle of this fucked up situation. And it's worse than its ever been. Stiles is going insane, Allison is seeing her bitch Aunt again, and Scott is having- er, well, performance issues. But now he can't just worry about his idiot friends. Now he has her to worry about too. It's why he left so suddenly. She needed him, and he can't deny her. And now she's coming home too. Cora is bringing her home, to Beacon hills. So they can raise their unborn baby in their home. So no, Derek doesn't know when every thing went so wrong, But he does know when he decided that he would never, ever let something hurt his family, his pack, ever again. He knows he's going to fight. And he will win. For her. And for them. His pack. Family.
