Twilight let out a calm sigh, looking up at the starry sky above until she look through the telescope, adjusting the lens with hr magic.
Once her sight through the telescope was perfected, she rested on the big, fluffy pillow and gently pulled the telescope a tiny bit closer to her.
Her notebook and her quill glowed that familiar shade of pink. Her quill danced across the paper, writing down her thoughts and findings with the occasional sketch here and there.
She let out a small gasp, feeling a warm body pressed up against her side. Twilight glanced at the pony next to her, then smiled, focusing on the night stars.
Rainbow draped a wing over Twilight's back, pulling in towards her a bit. She knew that she doesn't understand a single word of her lover's research, but she does understand the look on the princess's face. That certain enjoyment for the stars and constellations.
While she doesn't understand why constellations are 'so cool' as she would put it, she does know that the stars look pretty, not the story or meaning behind them.
Still, she enjoys them because Twilight likes them, watching her purple eyes move along with the dancing quill.
A little smirk played on her lips.
Twilight let out a squeak when she felt something nibble on her ear, causing a long ink mark across the page. A blush decorated her cheeks, checking on Rainbow Dash and it was revealed her lover was gently chewing on her ear.
She lightly squealed, batting her wing against Rainbow's side. The blue pegasus let out a laugh, rubbing her head against Twilight's neck affectionately.
The blush on Twilight's face brighten as she tried to resist a pout forming, but she felt her lips form into a little smile instead, knowing she can't stay mad at Rainbow forever.
She rested her chin on Rainbow's head, reaching out her hoof to drape around Rainbow's neck. The two closed their eyes and let out a deep breath, enjoying each other's warmth.
Moments passed as they realized they fell asleep, but decided to stay like this, wanting to stay under the night sky together.
