And with that, they left me. With so many questions. I didn't know what side to fight for. I had to decide. Every time I talked myself into a side, I talked myself out of it. Then I realized, I had to call Ben and Brianna. I couldn't believe I was doing this. A beginning of a rebellion.
I told them both what was going on. I called Ben first. "So, you want me to fight with you and your family." He said. "Yes," I said "my adoptive family." We both hung up.
Something about that hit me, "you and your family" I found out what side to fight for. Earth, I thought. I called Brianna and told her what was happening. We were an army of eight. Eight against hundreds. Hundreds. Good thing Teri can fence.
Signs came. I got scared. I was calm palming myself at least 100 times a day. I haven't felt this since I was sent here.
I felt like Monday was the day. We stood in a line. We were prepared. I knew that we would survive. I felt better about this.
