"How do you say goodbye Gerry?" Sandra asked sadly knowing that her time at UCOS was over.

"You don't Sandra, you don't need to."

"Please don't make this harder than it has to be, this isn't the same anymore and you know how amazing that offer is."

"Yeah I know it is and I'm not saying you should turn it down, just don't say goodbye."

"How have you figured that one out?"

"Leave work, leave UCOS, just don't leave me."

"It's not as if I'm far, heck I'm not even moving and I'll stay in touch."

"I want more than that though Sandra, I don't ever want to say goodbye to you."

"What do you mean?"

"I want to spend every day of my life with you, I love you Sandra."

"I love you too Gerry, honestly I do but I can't see it working and you know this new job would mean travelling a bit."

"Well I'll come with you."

"And what about UCOS? I might be leaving but you haven't."

"I don't know okay Sandra but I can't let you go, I can't say goodbye, not without giving us a go first." Gerry said closing the gap between them and kissing her slowly before pulling her into a tight hug.

"I don't want to say goodbye either Gerry, I've said goodbye to Jack, Esther and Brian and I don't like it anymore each time I do it."

"Well don't then."

"It's not that easy."

"But it could be Sandra, just give it ago, don't say goodbye, not yet." This time it was Sandra who leaned into kiss Gerry.

"Okay."

"Okay?" Gerry tried to clarify, convinced he was hearing things.

"Yeah okay, I don't want to say goodbye any more than you do and we've already established that I love you."

"See you don't need to know how to say goodbye."
