Fiery
"Well that was disappointing." Jackie said dejectedly after the game had ended.
Despite being a close game their team had lost and the whole family was upset.
Jasmine had a frown on her little face.
"What did you think of the game Jasmine, do you think they played well?" Jackie asked her.
"They played like shit." Jasmine said bluntly.
"Jasmine Nicole you can't say that word." Jackie scolded, completely shocked at her language.
"You did mommy."
"I did. When?"
"When G missed that shot." The child replied, referencing to their team's best player.
Nick bolted out of the room so he could laugh.
Seconds later Jackie heard him howling upstairs.
I'm gonna kill him. Jackie thought silently to herself.
She then turned her attention back to Jasmine.
"Jasmine, I made a mistake, I shouldn't say that word either, I'm sorry that I set a bad example for you and your brothers and sisters alright?"
"Ok mommy." Jasmine said with a shrug.
"And you won't say that word anymore right?" Jackie asked.
"I won't say it anymore." The child replied with a smile.
"That's my girl." Jackie praised.
Now that Jasmine had been set straight Jackie went upstairs.
Nick was sitting on the edge of the bed still laughing, tears rolling down his cheeks.
"That was the funniest thing I've ever heard." He told her, gasping for breath.
"Oh shut up, I feel terrible, what kind of role model am I for my own children?"
"You are an awesome role model, except when it comes to watching sports apparently."
Jackie rolled her eyes.
"Come on Jacks, you have to admit, that was hilarious. Just the way she said it so bluntly like it was the most natural thing in the world."
"Alright, I'll admit, it was a little funny." She conceded.
He grinned at her.
"You know, she wasn't really wrong, they did play like shit." Nick added.
Jackie had to agree with Nick on that too!
The End!
