AUTHORS NOTE: So I thought of this idea and I wanted to write it as a little one shot. It is kind of random but I hope you enjoy it :)
Olivia sat on her bed. She brought her knees to her chest and a silent sob escaped her mouth. After all they've been through together, one mistake changed everything. She didn't know she could ever forgive herself for losing the person who truly loved her. She closed her eyes in attempt to shoo away the memories of her and Brian at dinner, or their first christmas together, or the day they moved in together but nothing worked. All she could see is his face when she broke the news that she had an abortion all those years back. His face was so pale. His lips turned purple and he couldn't or didn't say anything. He just stared at her. Like she was a monster. A tear left his eye and she reached for him but he moved away. He looked at her one last time before grabbing his jacket and leaving. 5 hours have passed. Olivia watched the clock intently. She finally laid down and she heard a faint click and then a door shut. She shot up and shuffled into the doorway. Brian walked in and stopped when he saw her. She stood still not sure what to do. The two of them just stared at each other, motionless. He looked at Olivia, her face was red and puffy, her hair was all messy and the tears were spilling out of her eyes. She watched him, his eyes were blood shot, his face red. His tears were mostly gone but a few escaped his eyes. Olivia held her hand to her mouth and let out another sob, Brian stepped forward and Olivia ran into his arms. She held on to him do tightly, too afraid to let go. He wrapped his arms around her and kissed the top of her head. He could feel Olivia's body shaking. He pulled away and looked into her eyes. He put both hands on either side of her face and just looked at her. She sniffled and put her hands over his.
"I'm sorry." She managed. Brian nodded his head and pulled her into another hug.
"Me too." He said quietly, with his lips pressed against the top of her head. The two stood there for a while, not sure what to do or say. Finally, Brian pulled away. "I wish I would've known." He said.
"I was too scared to tell anyone." She felt the tears build up again and a sob got caught in her throat. "I'm sorry. Please don't hate me." Brian looked at her, he got close to her face and wiped her tears away.
"I do not hate you, Olivia. Don't ever say that again. I love you more than anything, but I am so hurt by this. Liv, we talk daily about having children and to think we could've had all of this 15 years ago, it kills me." He rubbed his eyes and sighed. "But with that said, everything was different back then. You didn't have feelings for me. And I was just a kid. Us raising a baby together back then wouldn't have gone well."
"What about now?" She asked, her voice just above a whisper.
"Now would be perfect." He said softly. Olivia hugged him tighter. She buried her face in his chest and sighed.
"Bri?" She asked softly. She felt him kiss her head and she continued.
"Don't ever leave me again." Brian gently rubbed her back. "No matter how hard things get, please come back to me. Please. I- I can't lose you."
"I'm not going anywhere." He whispered and lifted her chin so she was looking up at him. "I love you."
"I love you too. So much."Brian leaned in and kissed Olivia. She pulled away and gave him a soft smile. "Can we go to bed now? I'm tired." Brian smiled and picked Olivia up. He brought her into the bedroom and laid her down. He covered her up and laid down next to her. She reached out and grabbed his hand and nestled her head on his shoulder.
"Good night." She whispered.
"Sweet dreams, baby."
