Ada opened the door to her mother's room and looked around, seeing her mom sitting on the bed, holding a framed picture in her hands. Instantly, she ran over to the bed and hopped up next to her mother.

"Hi, Ada," Zofia said, looking fondly down at her child.

"Hi, mom. Who's that?" Ada asked, pointing at a green-haired lady in the picture. Zofia looked at the picture and explained.

"That's my sister."

"What's her name? She looks nice."

"She's named Ela."

"How come you never talk about her?" Ada asked innocently. Zofia sighed.

"Well… we didn't part on good terms."

"What do you mean? Were you two fighting?"

"You could say that," Zofia said. Should I tell her what happened?

"Ada," Zofia said after a long pause, "Ela and I… you need to understand, we were rivals when we were kids. And one time, some boys in my class made me feel really scared, and I asked my dad to make me feel less scared, so he started training Ela and I in combat skills. But he also got meaner, and Ela couldn't deal with him being mean. She started to blame me for him being so mean. She still does, actually."

"But you're so nice! I bet she doesn't know you like me."

Zofia sighed. "I'm glad you think so, Ada."

The Next Day…

Zofia paced up and down the park, her phone in her hand. She took comfort in the Silent Unseen logo on the back of the case and mentally crossed her fingers. Ada ran around with her friends on the playground.

A black Audi pulled up next to the curb, and a lithe young girl with green hair and a JW GROM shirt stepped out of the car.

"I got your message. Why did you want to see me?" Elizabeta Bosak asked, sitting down on a bench next to her.

"Ela," Zofia said, slowly and deliberately. "We need to talk."
