Hear the Unheard
The nights when you don't sleep on the enterprise because the day wears on you. The experience that put you close to losing so much. Nightmares of the monsters you see. The social wearing. The mental tearing.
Sometimes your friends watch you ask you eat, lines under your eyes from restless nights. Tiring days in an endless cycle. And these thoughts don't escape your head.
That last landing party was only a few hours. How come it seems to stick with you for days and days?
Images running like a slideshow, flickering in your minds eye, haunting your very being. The remains of emotions still leave their traces. Cultures disgusting, scary and…alien to you. Responsibility so heavy, it feels like the weight of the world is on your shoulders. Strange creatures and oddities that stain your dreams. Watching a friend die and there's nothing you can do to save them…
When this happens to you, everyone knows where you should go.
And so many people have walked down the hallway, at that time where your buddies can't help you and you can't pull yourself out of the chasm of self loathing or fear.
You walk the hallway leading to the single office of Dr. Jacelyn Silver.
This is the beginning of an idea I have called, Hear the Unheard. The various stories involving the one psychiatrist on board the enterprise. (Next Gen has one! Why not TOS?) She's the one you don't hear about.
After McCoy can't sleep at night after seeing the salt monster which is not his former lover, when Spock finds himself so emotionally wrought and does not want to confront either of his two friends, And finally if Kirk's sadness of losing a crewman or the weight of the deaths pinning him down, this is the girl they all see.
In order for me to write these fics, I need your reviews for if I should write this, I need support to see if this is a good idea. But before I start writing this (even if I get reviews) I still need to finish my Fic, Bad Dreams. I suggest you read it, if you liked this idea!
Thanks for reading, this was just a simple pilot (much like The Cage). Please review with ideas, thoughts and opinions.
