It was just another day in Snowtown,CO the snow glistened, the temerature was cold and you know the rest. "Goooooood Morniiiiiing SNOWTOWN!" said the DJ on Shane's clock radio, "It's another beautiful October and those Rockies are in the World Series AGAIN!!!! They're facing those damn Yankees! So let's go ROCKIES!" yelled the DJ. "Yeah go Rockies!" Shane said as he got up and got dressed. After Shane walked downstairs his father approached, "Happy Birthday! Damn I can't believe your 19 already. It seems like only yesterday you were born smiling at me!" said his dad. "Thanks dad, ya know I'm glad it's just the two of us." said Shane. "Oh before I forget, here!" said Shane's dad as he handed him a square shaped box with red wrapping paper. "Thanks dad, oooooh what is it??" he wondered as he opened it "RRRRIIIPPP" went the paper. "Dad... A Matt Holliday autographed jersey? I love it but why did you get me a jersey?" he asked. "Read the card." said his dad. Shane opened his card and it read "To my dearest son I hope you will enjoy this birthday..As much as I didn't enjoy it putting a hole in my wallet" Shane's dad handed him an envolope in it were 6 tickets which read "Saturday, Oct. 10, 2008 Worlds Series game 1 NY Yankees vs. Colorado Rockies" "HOLY SHIT!!!!!! TICKETS TO THE WORLD SERIES?!?!?! DAD YOU ROCK!!!!!!" yelled Shane at the top of his lungs. "No problem son, and don't swear your not at school!" replied his dad. "Uhhh.. Dad could I wear my jersey to school today? I don't have gym, that's not until Friday." said Shane. "Sure" said his dad. Shane changed into his jersey got on his jacket, grabbed his board and headed out to school. As entered he walked into school someone came up behind him and covered his eyes. "Guess who?" said the person. "Jeez, Nancy do we have to do this everytime I walk in?" he asked. "No, but I wanted to wish you a happy birthday!" said Nancy as she kissed him on the cheek. "Was my present?" he asked, "No this is." said Nancy as she reached in her bag and pulled out a small rectangular shaped box. Shane opened it to discover that it was a necklace with his name on it. "My God... Nancy I love it! But you didn't have spend so much!" he said. "It's okay Shane we're dating so we have to love each other that much!!!"
"You're right" said Shane as he put away his jacket and the two of them walked to class holding hands. As they stepped into class Jam came up to them dressed in his new white sweatsuit with red and black flame design and on his head was a matching red and black Rockies cap. "Damn Jam you really know how to dress." said Shane, "Dude thanks, but where the hell did you get that Matt Holliday autographed jersey?" asked Jam. "My dad got it for me today's my birthday." Shane replied. "Oh happy birthday! Damn I feel bad that I didn't get you anything. When is the party though? asked Jam. "October 10th, thats tomorrow." said Shane. "Dude are we gonna watch the the World Series?" asked Jam. "No." said Shane, "Why?" asked Jam, "BECAUSE WE'RE ALL GOING!!!!" yelled Shane. "Quit fucking lying!" yelled Jam. "Alright watch when you come tomorrow." said Shane as him and Nancy walked away from Jam. "You really we're all going?" asked Nancy, "Damn right" said Shane.
