Emily prided herself on being in control. She had feelings for her co worker, her friend and that was fine. She had accepted it. She hated that she couldn't just see JJ as a friend but she had accepted.
"I miss you" The text had read, Emily frowned. They see each other everyday, how could she possibly miss her.
"I saw you 5 hours ago" Emily replies.
"But we aren't actually hanging out anymore" JJ quickly replied.
"Okay, my house Friday after work?" Emily typed, regretting it as soon as she saw the send icon. This was a bad idea, drunk JJ in her house.
"Sounds good" Emily starred at the reply. This was not good at all.
"Come on drink up" JJ Giggled.
"I'm good" Replied Emily still sipping at her first glass. JJ was two ahead of her.
"You sure you don't wanna' slow up there love" Emily touched JJ's shoulder a look of concern in her eyes.
"I'm fine" JJ told her looking up at the tv, they had began watching the newest episode of Lost girl together. Neither was actually paying attention to it.
Sooner or later Emily noticed JJ's hand resting on her leg. They were friends this was okay, right?
A few more flirtatious remarks later and Emily decided it was time to put the beautiful blonde friend in a bed for the night.
"Okay, JJ you are going to sleep in my bed tonight" Emily told her looking down trying to keep her eyes straight. Maybe the wine was getting to her more than she thought.
"Only if your coming with me" JJ slurred with a wink. Oh she was charming, this is why you had all those horrible feelings in the first place.
"I don't think your going to make it there yourself" Emily laughed pulling JJ's arm over her shoulder.
Emily got her laptop out and sat it on her bed. JJ didn't look like she was going to sleep anytime soon. Blogging away while having pointless and easy chats with the drunk blonde all was good.
Until she got thirsty and went to get a glass of water, quietly hoping it would help the hangover in the morning.
The brunette came back to her darkened bedroom. She sat down to refresh her laptop again, the light slowing JJ, in just a blue bra. She felt her heart race and forced herself to look away. She felt a blush rise up her chest and cheeks. No this wasn't happening. She looked back at her laptop, she could pretend this wasn't happening.
"Emily..."JJ whispered.
The brunette refused to look at her, she couldn't look. It was taking all the self control she had, but she wasnt gonna look.
The blonde looked up at her and gently grazed her hand along Emily's arm.
"No, we arent doing this"
"Why not? There's a reason I'm drinking with you" JJ said knowing what every word was doing to her friend.
"What do you mean?" Emily asked, trying to focus on the conversation and not the woman in front of her.
"You know what I mean" She replied her hand slowly moving up and down the skin between her ribs and her belly button. For some reason Emily couldn't stop watching her, there was just something so sensual about the way she moved. Something about everything that JJ did.
"DO YOU REALIZE HOW HARD YOU ARE TO LIKE?" Emily blurted out. "OMG JJ, YOU ARE SO FRUSTRATING" and with that JJ was alone in Emily's bed.
The blonde felt more light headed with every passing second, she wanted to run after the beautiful brunette but she knew she wouldn't make it far. She lay down accepting that sleep was all she was getting tonight.
Emily couldn't breathe a few meters. She was standing in her living room panting. What was she doing? All she every wanted was JJ. She could have just taken it, but she didn't. She walked away. Maybe she had this crush under control after all.
I'm just getting some feelings out here, okay?
