A/N: It's snowing outside and that basically means writing from me. I hope you enjoy this little oneshot!

Disclaimer: Don't own them.

The problem was never in running. It was in getting caught.

---------

Walter always remarked on how you used to be fat as a child. What he didn't know was that you lost the weight running away from him. Track all through high school (at least until you dropped out). The farther, the better.

Funny how things don't change.

History repeats itself.

You were from Over There. The words fell heavy on your tongue.

You were used to being alone, but that was before she walked into your life, your mind (it hurt too much to say heart). Where once there was no resistance, now there was a barrier.

She traced an invisible line around your frame, looking, but seeing right through you.

You knew how you could disappear completely.

You crossed over. You almost wish it hadn't been so easy.

It was hard to start running after being retired for so long. Your legs were stiff. Each step gave you more and more pain, but anger was your fuel and you knew it could sustain you for another 17 years.

Problem was you miscalculated. There was a variable you never accounted for.

She was walking into the FBI building, long blonde hair blowing in a gust of wind. Even in this universe, she had a pull over you like gravity. But only one minute of observing her movements, the way she carried herself, even her eyes, told you that she was not like Olivia, not like your Olivia.

Running away was difficult to do when you were still holding onto something. Like a speeding train, your heart slammed into your chest producing a severe ache you could not suppress.

You learned the hard way, you can't outrun momentum.

Please review! They make my day and keep me writing.
