She walked down the sidewalk, considering going into the coffee shop. She decided against it. She kept walking along the Shopping center, full of restaurants, cafés, clothing stores, and a secluded bookstore at the end of the line. Something made her want to go and get some reading material. Maybe something Adventure-like. She shook that idea away. She already had enough adventure in her life. She walked into the bookstore deciding on getting a new book that just came out. It was called BURN. Some people said it was a romance story and thriller, featuring some gothic characters. She'd heard about the author, Peu de Feu. It was a pen name.

She wandered into the store, seeing the section where the book might be held. While walking out of an aisle, a young man with fiery orange blond hair bumped into her.

"OH! Oh, sorry mister…" said the girl, blushing. "Oh sorry, I didn't mean…"

The man looked down at her and she realized he looked about her age. Maybe he was a year or two older. She shuffled off, not looking the guy in his blue eyes. She walked towards the section and picked up the book. BURN was indeed written by a guy with a pen name Peu de Feu. She looked around for the man, to make sure she wouldn't bump into him again. She walked towards the cashier, when someone grabbed her by the arm. She was going to shriek when she saw it was that guy she had bumped into minutes before.

" Look, sir I'm sorry I bumped into you earlier." She said almost stuttering.

" No worries Sheila." Said the man. " Just happened ta see tha' book you were hoildin'." He spoke with an Australian accent.

" Uh-Uh yeah. Its by some guy called-d Peu de Feu." She answered, finally letting her stutter out. She was still embarrassed from before. That was the way she was.

" Yaw know, I wrote tha' book." He said a little proudly.

"Y-you're Peu de Feu?" she asked with confusion/

"Roight! Hey, let me buy tha' book for yeh. To say sorry for bumping into yaw earlier."

She didn't know why, but she could feel herself blushing. She muttered a thank you.

She thought this guy was pretty cool, with his blue eyes and Fiery hair. He was kind of thin, and had a lopsided smile. One of his teeth were out of place, leaving a small gap.

He walked up to the register and handed the cashier the money.

Then he walked back to the girl and handed her the book.

She walked with him out the door and asked " So, w-why do you call yourself Peu de Feu?"

" It means little fire."

" Oh." She didn't get his explanation, but she didn't inquire further.

" What's your real name?" she asked.

He stepped outside and pulled her around a corner. He took out a lighter, and lit it. She looked at him curious.

Then the flame curled into folds, twisting into a softly flickering rose.

" John. But I go by the name of Pyro." He said grinning wickedly.

Then left and walked away, blowing her a kiss.

And Amara was left standing, shocked.
