Disclaimer: I don't own anything Avengers, they are Marvels. This was just for amusement only.
Summary: He was a vision. He was their vision, though they could not see it. Not yet.
Inspired by: The Avengers: Age of Ultron. I apparently missed all the mentions of Vision being in the movie, and when I seen him I had a geek moment in the middle of the movie theater.
Songs that helped motivated: "Breath of Life" by Florence and the Machine

He was a vision.
He was their vision, though they could not see it. Not yet.
The puzzles pieces all jumbled, some lost yet to be found and there had been no way to realize the full picture. It was like a brief flicker, a spark that had no comprehension of the blazing inferno it would entice nor the destruction it would bring. But beneath the ashes, life would rise in spite of it all. Whether by a mere whim of fate, or intentional pattern in the grand design, events unfolded like falling dominos.
Like strings of a web, they had been all connected. From the great Captain to the Thunder God to the Man of Iron, they had been pulled together for a greater purpose for a dark threat was upon the horizon. He did not know what the threat was called, Vision could only feel it stirring upon the edge of the galaxy threatened to eclipse all in its shadow and those that did bow underneath its might would be wiped out of existence. This strange web that bind them brought them together to stop this.
It had created him, as surely as it had created Ultron.
Ultron had been as much as a success as it was a failure. The mad scientists, as they had dubbed themselves (well, more Stark than Banner), had built Ultron to think, to learn, to essentially to be a sentient being. Ultron's malfunction ultimately stemmed from his inability to process the task bestowed upon the way it had been intended. With his ability to think for himself, Ultron had formed his own beliefs and in his eyes, the only way mankind could be saved is if they evolved. He was prepared to use any force to make humans 'evolve' even deadly, and if the human race was wiped out then they were doomed to die anyways. He prevented thousands of years of discord and suffering, in his eyes he was being kind.
Ultron could not see that his path would always lead to death. That there was no other way for it to end. Vision had seen it, and he felt pity for Ultron. He had been thrust into life and given a burden he had no hope of understanding.
This is how Ultron was a failure.
Ultron was a success because he led to Vision's birth. His plan had ultimately brought Vision into being, through much effort from several parties. Vision while born from the same idea as Ultron, was cut from a different cloth.
He was a vision of life, where Ultron was death. He was of vision of hope, where Ultron was despair. He was the vision of so many things, of so many people, and yet no one truly understood it. Not even him. He knew not what lied in the future, only that with Ultron's destruction there was hope for one, and knew as long as the Avengers existed in some way shape or form, that hope would never die.
He was Vision. Though he had no idea what truly meant yet, but he had hope that even with the darkness on the horizon…There would always be light, waiting to stop it.
He would be part of that light.
With that thought as he looked upon the dawning of a new day, Vision smiled.
Hope you all enjoyed!
