A/N: The song is "I Can Hear the Bells" from the musical Hairspray. I'm putting this back up with the correct lyrics, so if you don't like it, deal. Drop a review?
It was just another day at McKinley High and Rachel opened her locker to get her Algebra book when something hit the locker door and made her drop the book. She saw a football on the ground and a hand reach down to pick it up. Rachel quickly shut the door and prepared to tell off the jock, but saw soft brown eyes looking back at her.
"Hey, I'm really sorry about that. I wasn't aiming for you, I swear," the boy said. He was really tall and had short brown hair. "Here's your book back." He handed her the Algebra book and their hands brushed one another lightly.
"It-it's fine and thank you," Rachel replied, smiling faintly.
"Cool. See you later," he said, taking off down the hall.
"I can hear the bells
My head is spinning
I can hear the bells
Something's beginning
Everybody says that a girl who looks like me can't win his love
Well, just wait and see 'cause
"I can hear the bells
Just hear them chiming
I can hear the bells
My temperature's climbing
I can't contain my joy
'Cause I've finally found the boy I've been missin'
Listen!
I can hear the bells,"
Rachel sang as she continued down the hall. She walked into the choir room where Kurt, Mercedes, Artie, and Tina sat, talking amongst themselves.
"Round 1: He'll ask me on a date and then…
Round 2: I'll primp but won't be late, because
Round three's when we kiss inside his car!
Won't go all the way, but I'll get pretty far
Round 4: He'll ask me to be for his hand, and then…
Round 5: We'll book the wedding band…you guys, so by
Round 6: Guys, much to your surprise, this one-time victim takes the prize and…"
"Rachel, shut up," Mercedes snapped.
"You're not going to marry Finn Hudson, so keep it down," Kurt added. Rachel frowned and sat down.
"Glee club, I have an announcement," Sandy Ryerson proclaimed, walking dramatically into the room. "Hank, you've got a new solo."
"Really?" Hank asked monotonously, looking bored.
"And the rest of us remain ignored," Artie muttered.
"Mr. Ryerson…," Rachel started to say but Sandy cut her off.
"Fanny Brice, not the time for your rant." He waved a hand.
"I can hear the bells
Today's just the start 'cause
I can hear the bells and
Til death do us part and
Even when we die, we'll look down from up above, remembering the night that we two fell in love
We both will share a tear and he'll whisper as we're reminiscin'
Listen!
I can hear the bells."
Rachel smiled to herself as she recalled the day she first saw Finn. Her dream was about to come true: there she stood in a white dress and Finn in a tux, her rabbi in between them and their friends and family in the congregation.
"Do you, Finnegan Christopher Hudson, take Rachel Barbra Berry to be your lawfully wedded wife, to have and to hold; through richer or poorer, 'till death do you part?"
"I do."
"Do you, Rachel…?"
"I do."
"And by the power vested in me by the state of Ohio, I now pronounce you man and wife. You may kiss the bride." Everyone cheered while Finn and Rachel seemed to forget everything around them during the kiss.
"I love you, Finn," Rachel whispered.
"I love you too, Rach," he replied.
