Rouge's POV
I watched as the blonde mage stumbled out of the bar. The smell of booze filled my nose. I could tell she was drunk by the way she staggered as she attempted to walk straight. I had come all this way to tell her my feelings for her, but she was drunk. I didn't want to tell her my feelings for doubt that she would reject in her drunken state. I just watched her. Just before she walked out of view, I ran closer to her, not letting her catch a glimpse of me. I was just going to watch her until she made it safely home, but then she ran into some lowlifes.
Lucy's POV
'Damn. This is the last time I let Cana pull me into a drinking contest.' I thought to myself. I left the bar in attempt to make it home. I'll admit, I was just a little drug. No, a lot drunk. I had the feeling that someone was watching me, but in my drunken state I refused to look around. I was on my way to my apartment, which way only one block away, when three men blocked my way. "Hey beautiful. Wanna have a little fun with us." One of the men said. "Yeah, well have fun, babe." The other said. "Eeeh…..N-no. I'm going ho- *hic* home." I said before pushing through them. I almost got away before one of them grabbed my wrist and pushed me against the wall. "Now. Come on It'll be fun." I was about to tell them hell no, but a figure pushed them away and held me close to them. Upon seeing the black hair and red eyes, I just knew it was Rogue Cheney.
Rogue's POV
I looked away for one moment to check for the others. They couldn't know that I was here. When I looked back to Lucy, the men had her pushed up against the wall. 'Get away from my Lucy. Now' I thought angrily. Before I knew it, I was holding Lucy in my arms threatening the bastards in front of me. They ran off leaving me with a heavily drunken Lucy Heartfilia. "S-so…..Lucy I'm going to walk you home. O-okay?!" Dammit. My voice betrayed me. "Sure. L- *hic* let's go *hic*." She said and grabbed my hand pulling me towards her house. I walked in silence, not wishing to let her see the ting of blush on my cheeks. After a few minutes, we approached her house. "Than chu Roguey. Fo walkin me home, kay? *hic*" "It was nothing." I said and then turned to walk away. 'Come on Rogue. Just tell her already.' I thought to myself. I felt my pace slow and I turned back around and met a pair of brown eyes. "Umm… S-so Lucy I-I just wanted to say I-I" my voice began chocking up "I love you!" Before I could react, her lips were on mine. She tasted like whiskey, but she was also sweet. My mind and body began melting at her touch.
Lucy's POV
"Umm… S-so Lucy I-I just wanted to say I-I… I love you!" I couldn't believe my ears. The shadow dragon slayer just said he loved me. My heart began racing. I had a crush on him for the longest time and now I could finally have him. My body jumped at the chance, and I began kissing him sweetly. "Rogue…. I love you too!" I smiled before continuing the kiss. He loved me and I love him. It was surely destiny that brought us together.
