Tonks, you don't have to do th-" began Charlie, before a huge, furry, purple hand covered his face.
"Charlie, m'boy, what could go wrong?" said Tonks as she transformed her hand back to its usual, furry, pink self. "You're not scared, are you?" she taunted him.
"Only that you'll hurt yourself" he replied, pointing at her knee. "That was one time, Weasley. Anyway, injury never stops either of us, you limp dragon wing" said Tonks poking his muscled arm with her wand.
"Fine, fine. Go ahead, but if someone gets hurt, it's your fault".
Tonks smiled and released the small barn owl from the cage that contained it, raised her wand and said "prepare to be amazed, Charlie". She then cast a spell to transform the owl, and succeeded in doing so, though the results were not quite what she was hoping for. "What the-! No, no, no, no, no, no! How can this have happened?" she questioned, frustrated.
"Hey, that doesn't look like a dragon to-" Charlie was interrupted by the yank on his arm. "Just up and run, idiot" growled Tonks.
"You turn a barn owl into a shark with legs, and /I'm/ the idiot?!" A roar, much like a dragon's came from behind them, causing both 16 year olds to turn in shock. "How, Tonks? /How/ do you do it?" said Charlie as he urged the non-moving Tonks to continue to move. "Tonks? What's wrong?"
"Hehe. Turn around idiot" she said, pointing behind him. Charlie obeyed and, as he turned, heard Tonks giggle. The creature was remarkably smaller than it had been when it had first been transfigurated.
"You two should know by now that your wacky spell casting could get you into serious trouble" said Dumbledore, putting his wand away with a smile, the creature once again a barn owl. "30 points from each of your houses. Now off you pop" he concluded and walked past them. The two teenagers laughed and headed to the lake. "Promise me one thing, Tonks: never stop being you" said Charlie as they sat down. "I promise" said Tonks, changing her hands to great pink, furry paws.
