DOCTOR WHO/SHERLOCK CROSSOVER. Bad Wolf Bay dialogue tweeked for Sherlolly. I own nothing. Sorry it's so short! I hope this idea hasn't been done before but it probably has. I wrote it anyway. Please review if you liked it and I'm a novice writer so please be kind.

The day before Sherlock Holmes entered his exile and began his suicide mission, his brother Mycroft managed to wangle him one last goodbye. With Molly. He hadn't spoken to her for a few months. The phone call went thusly:

Molly: How long have we got?

Sherlock: About two minutes.

Molly: I can't think of what to say!

Sherlock: You've still got Toby then?

Molly: There's five of us now. Me, Toby, and the babies.

Sherlock: You're not?

Molly: What! No. It's Toby. She's turned out to be a girl. Bit of a surprise.

Sherlock: And what about you? Are you.

Molly: Yeah, I'm still filling out paperwork

Sherlock: Oh, good for you.

Molly: Shut up. No, I'm not. My probation is, over I'm back in the morgue. I'm not in trouble for your 'death' anymore.

Sherlock: Molly Hooper, Captain of the Morgue again. I'm in prison, officially, back home where you are. Can't let the public know I'm on a suicide mission. I'll be dead within 6 months. But you'll be here, living a life day after day. The one adventure I can never have.

Molly: Am I ever going to see you again?

Sherlock: You can't.

Molly: What're you going to do?

Sherlock: Oh, I've got my wits. I'll try and last as long as possible.

Molly: On your own.

Molly: I, I love you.

Sherlock: Quite right, too. And I suppose, if it's one last chance to say it, Molly Hooper...

The line cut off automatically. Molly burst into tears in her home.

Miles away Sherlock choked up, his eyes watery but not crying. He placed the phone down gently. He locked the conversation away in his mind palace, in the vast room he had created for Molly.

His biggest regret was that he didn't get to say it back.
