It was raining.

Sabrina sighed, and continued stirring her extremely sugary tea. She was bored. And it didn't help that there was a city wide blackout, meaning she couldn't get on Youtube, or even Fanfiction.

There wasn't anything else to do, no matter what the little voice in the back of her head was saying. She was not going to reread one of her many books, after all, she had already read them a hundred times. She didn't feel like drawing, and Sabrina was not, under any circumstances, going to do her homework. It irritated her. She could feel it now, sitting on the dining room table. It was almost as if it was watching her.

So she ignored it.

As she ignored her homework, she felt a tremor. And another. A thought crossed her mind about Jurassic Park, the moment when the Tyrannosaurus Rex first appeared. Another part of her mind reminded her that this was ludicrous, dinosaurs were extinct. Sabrina tried to listen to this part, but it was hard.

Especially since it was happening again. And this time she heard a loud thumping sound. It sounded like footsteps, if the person running was a giant, lizard-like creature.

If this was a horror movie, then she would go outside and get eaten by something. But that thought didn't stop Sabrina from pulling on a pair of shoes (that were probably her sisters) and running outside.

And she stopped. Anybody would have. There is something about the sight of a gigantic lizard with razor sharp teeth and claws that inspires awe. And fear. And causes you to wet your pants. (Sabrina didn't do that though.) She froze, and just watched as it tore past, smashing the pavement as it ran. Before it was out of sight she thought she saw someone riding it.

She must be going insane. Sabrina couldn't say anything because that would mean months, maybe years of counselors and psychiatrists. She hated psychiatrists. But… she saw where the T-Rex had smashed the pavement. It had to have been real.

She stood there for a minute or two, trying to decide what to do. Oddly enough, no one else had come outside.

She decided she wasn't going to say anything. It would be better than being thought clinically insane.

And a few days later, everything was normal. Normal-ish at least. The T-Rex was blamed on a college student prank. Sabrina wasn't too sure about that though. But she didn't say anything.

After all, she hated psychiatrists.
