Siriusly Serious
Remus entered the pub, the butterflies in his stomach fluttering madly. He still wasn't sure why he'd let Lily rope him into this. Blind dates. Shaking his head, he glanced around. He was looking for someone with dark wavy hair wearing dark wash jeans and a white shirt.
The problem was that at several different men filled that particular description.
Approaching the bar, Remus' attention was caught by one of those men. He was sitting at the bar, chatting with two others.
"... I mean, he actually came out and said he preferred Star Trek to Star Wars!"
Remus hoped this wasn't his date but knew it would be rude to bail without checking.
Tapping the man on the shoulder, he asked, "Are you Sirius?"
"Absolutely! The guy is crazy, clearly. I mean, everyone knows that Stars Wars is superior to Star Trek!"
Remus blinked. "Um... okay. Sorry to interrupt."
"It's cool, man. Join us if you want, we're gonna shoot some darts in a bit."
"I'm, uh, meeting someone. Thanks, though," he added, smiling tightly. Moving away from the Star Wars fan, Remus perched himself on a stool, ordering a Gin and Tonic from a sour looking barman.
"I don't have a library card, but can I check you out?"
Remus jumped when a hand ran down his back. Turning to look at the man with the cheesy chat up line, his heart sank. Dark wavy hair? Check. Dark wash jeans? Check. White shirt? Check. Lecherous smile? Eww. Double check.
"Are you Sirius?" he asked, scooting back on the stool away from the man.
"Serious as a heart attack. You're hot," the man replied, moving his eyebrows in a way that Remus supposed was meant to be seductive.
"Um, sorry, I'm waiting for someone."
"You sure I can't tempt you?"
The wandering hands were heading his way again, so Remus shook his head firmly.
"I'm sure."
The man shrugged. "Your loss."
"And my gain. You must be Remus. Sorry I'm late."
Remus didn't know where to put his face. The most gorgeous man he'd ever seen was standing in front of him. He had dark wavy hair and was wearing dark wash jeans.
... And a pink shirt.
"I thought you were supposed to wear white?"
Sirius smiled sheepishly. "I had a bit of an argument with the washing machine. That's why I'm late."
Remus snorted. "Are you serious?"
The returning smile was blinding. "Siriusly Serious."
