Today I walked to school in the rain; this made my Band-Aid below my left eye get wet. Why am I always alone? Ever since Seimei was killed, I always have been alone. As the rain fell down from the sky, I felt myself become sadder. In my perspective, I'm just waiting for my life to end. Today was to be my first day at school; my mother and I just finished moving. My father is away on the business trip; he left two years ago. As I walked in everyone heads turned to see what they thought to be an emo kid. I wouldn't disagree, if someone new just walked in the classroom with cuts on their face and black hair, what would you think? "Well students, we have a new student." The teacher spoke excitedly. "His name is Ritsuka Aoyagi, welcome him. As I took a seat next to a tall girl with, pink pigtails, she smiled and said hello. Her voice was a little high but pretty. I guess she was waiting for me to return her smile because she kept staring at me, but I couldn't. I said hello and sat down, she stopped staring so I guess that was enough. The whole day was tiring and boring, but it's better than at home with a crazy women. After the bell rang I got up and headed to the door way. The girl who sat next to me approached me with a smile, "Hello Aoyagi, my name is Yuiko Hawatari, but you can call me Yuiko." After a couple of seconds I replied. "No, you're not my friend." I started to leave she grabbed onto my arm. I yanked away and started to run into the hallway, accidently ran into the teacher. "Oh, Aoyagi I was just looking for you. Are you alright? Why were running?" she asked. At that time Yuiko ran to me. "I was playing with Yuiko, sorry for bumping into you," I said in the nicest voice I know. I gave her a tiny smile and with that I ran outside. This school was huge; I had to run down two staircases and one hallway that I thought will never end. After that I made outside the school but not quit at the school entrance. I was gasping for air and next to me was Yuiko also gasping for air too. "Why…. Why did you follow me?" I was trying to say. She was stilling gasping for air, after a few seconds she managed to say, "Because you said my name and told a lie, we weren't playing. Also, why did we run?" I replied softly, "I hate when teachers worry about me." With that I started to walk away until she grabbed me, again. "What is wrong?" she asked. The voice she spoke in made me cry a little, she spoke in my mother's voice. Soft and kind, this made me feel protected; this is what my mom's voice sounded like, before she went crazy. I think she heard me whimpering because she started to rub my shoulders and ask what's wrong. I pushed her away and ran out of the school's entrance. I couldn't see from the tears in my, it made my sight blurry. I didn't stop running and when I was running I heard people screaming stop. I didn't listen and kept on running until I heard a loud car horn beep. It was still raining and now cold. It felt cold on the outside and also on the inside. I then felt nice warm hands around me and I opened my eyes to see a car flipped over and shocked faces. There was a complete silence and shocked faces but I felt calm and safe for some reason, I was not sad but happy. I looked up to see a man.
