Title: The Proposal

I slip my hand carefully into my pocket and feel the velvet box with the tips of my fingers.

Every second the clock ticks I get more nervous than I was before.

Sonny smiles back at me taking my hand in hers. She frowns looking down.

"Why are you all sweaty? Are you okay?"

I give a weak smile. "I'm fine...I'm not nervous about anything..."

She nods confused. "Okay thenn."

Right...Chad Dylan Cooper is never nervous...Except around her. She is completely perfect.

And I am completely flawed. Of course nothing compares to her...

"Sonny...You know that uhm...I like you right?" I choke out.

She giggles shaking her head it makes me wanna giggle.

"Yeah Chad...I like you too." She smiles taking both my hands in hers.

"Actually...I love you." I whisper. Her smile falls and she has a small twinkle in her eyes.

"Chad...Is everything alright?"

"Yeah...Let's just go to dinner." I smile putting an arm around her waist.

"Okay." She smiles.

We arrive at the restaurant and I made sure we had a 5 star restaurant for this...Special occasion.

"Whoa Chad!" Sonny says in awe. "This place puts the Z in amazing!"

"Is that good?" I ask nervously. She giggles nodding. "Yeah."

We are escorted to our seats and Sonny smiles looking around. The waiter comes up and smiles.

"Good evening! I'll be your waiter for tonight. Can I get you anything to drink? Let's start with the cutie here."

I glare up at him. Great. This is just perfect. Sonny looks up at him and smiles. "Well thank you! I'll have the red wine."

"Water." I say coldly.

Sonny smiles over at me and I glare. "Chad? What is it?"

"Why do you always have to stand out and then flirt with everyone!" I snap.

She looks down hurt. "I...I...I guess I'm stupid. Yeah stupid old me." She says getting up and starting to walk out.

"Wait! Where are you going?" I ask quietly.

She glares throwing the napkin on the floor. "I'm stupid. And I was stupid enough to go on this stupid date with stupid YOU!"

No! I have to do it now! "Stop! Please!" I cry grabbing her wrist.

"What!" She growls. "I'm just really nervous." I whine.

"Why?" She says exasperated.

"Because...I love you and I want you to say yes." I whisper.

"Yes to what!" She snaps folding her arms.

I slowly get down on one knee and pull out the the velvet box. Everyone in the room is silently watching.

Sonny's anger melts away to pure shock. "Oh my gossh."

I open the box to revel the shining diamond ring. Her mouth falls to the floor.

"Sonny Munroe...Will you..." Before I can ask she squeals jumping into my arms.

"YES! YES! A MILLION TIMES YES!"

I laugh spinning her around. YESSSS. She's finally mine forever.

I place her down and she smiles tears forming.

I love you." She whispers placing her soft lips to mine.
