CHAPTER ONE- Perfect
"So, how was Science?" Rachel asked her boyfriend, Finn, as the two walked hand-in-hand down the hallway.
"Eh." Finn responded, shrugging. "Boring as usual."
Rachel nodded. Not that she wanted to ruin this special moment between them, but Rachel was excellent in Science and thought the whole class was fun. In fact, it may be her favorite subject.
"...Well, sweetie." Rachel said, taking Finn and pulling him over to her locker. "Science will always be...boring. Unless you..."
She spun her combination into her locker dial.
Don't say anything stupid.
Finn cocked his eyebrows, waiting for an answer. Rachel was a good advice giver, but sometimes she didn't get her point across.
What the hell was that? She should just spit it out.
"...Unless you enjoy, I guess. I like it...so it comes pretty easy to me." she finally said.
That wasn't TOO bad.
Jesus...now I feel stupid.
"Oh, okay." Finn replied, standing back up against the lockers. Rachel gathered her books for Language Arts.
"What class do you have next?" Rachel asked. She shut her locker gingerly and reached for his hand.
"Umm..." he started.
Don't leave her hanging, you have flaws, too.
"I think I have Math..maybe Geometry or Algebra..I dunno."
How could you not know what class you have next? If this boy's going to go to New York with me, I'll have to teach him some responsibilty.
"Really? Sounds like fun." she stretched the word 'fun', hoping he would take notice.
Finn half-laughed. "Ha." he said, shifting his books to the other arm. They began walking. "Fun. Math doesn't sound very fun to me. It sounds like-"
"Boring?" Rachel finished.
Why does she always finish my sentences? Oh, I know: 'Cause I'm too slow!
I wish he wasn't so predictable sometimes. I like surprises. :)
"Yeah." Finn said. He stopped in front of Ms. Perter's Language Arts classroom. "Here you are."
Rachel went to his side and stood on her tippy toes to kiss him. He met her willing lips and they kissed for about 20 seconds before the hoots and hollers sounded.
Both of their cheeks reddened.
She looked into his brown eyes and noticed a deep feeling of happiness.
She had it, too.
I think I made the right choice.
I know I made the right choice.
"Goodbye," Rachel said. "See you in Glee?"
Finn nodded, smiling and slightly blushing. "Yeah."
Rachel turned to go and Finn turned around.
"Heyy!"
He turned back around.
Rachel mouthed, 'I love you". Finn mouthed it back.
Both smiled and went their separate ways.
The raucous bell sounded, sending flyaway kids to their next classes.
I knew this would be perfect.
Perfect.
And perhaps it was.
