Hey there ! This is really short, but I like it a lot (who doesn't love Mikey and Woody together, they're so freaking cute ). I did it for a christmas prompt thing going on on Tumblr and wanted to share it with you as well. Hope you enjoy it !

It was late at night when Mikey let the word "date" fly from his lips, and it was half the alcohol running though his veins, half the way Woody's hand was warm and tight around his own that made it so easy to do.

They had spent the whole evening on a roof, watching Harlem glowing in the dark, laughing their hearts out for nothing, feeling free, feeling young, feeling limitless. Around two in the morning they had break into Central Park and were now lying on the bank of the Lake, trying to write stories with the few stars they could make out in the sky.

The "d" word had been so easy to say and so easy to assumed afterwards that Mikey hadn't felt flustered even for a second. That was the thing with Woody. Everything was easy. When he was with his friend, it was easy for Michelangelo to forget all about his problems, about his enemies, about his condition, about his life. Everything came naturally to them and that's why after a short comfortable silence, it has been so spontaneous for Mikey to chuckled.

"Dude, can you see us? With the sky, the water, the very bad puns? It's so cheesy it's ridiculous. It should totally be a date. Why isn't it a date?"

And Woody hadn't missed a heartbeat before he answered: "It can be one if you want it to be."

So easy. No embarrassement, no silence, no second thought. Mikey had sat up, all excited.

"I so want it to be! It would be totally awesome! But we miss something... Do you know what we miss for this date to be perfect?"

"A pizza?"

"Duuude, are you a Jedi?"

"Hunger is the path to the dark side."

How could have Mikey not kissed the guy after that? He just quoted Yoda! More or less. It was sloppy and they couldn't help giggling, but it was sweat, and warm, and everything Michelangelo needed right now. When their lips broke apart, Woody stared at him, a loving smile on his face.

"In order to become better kissers we must train." Mikey said in his best imitation of Master Yoda.

"Train kissing you?" Woody reiterated with a grin. "Damn, I could do that day in day out. What do you say we start now?"

And so they did. Everything was so easy with Woody. It was as easy as breathing. Mikey let himself be drown in the heat of his best buddy. They were young, they were free, and they had no enemies. What could happen?
