Since there is so much sadness here, I thought maybe I could write a funny one. I know there is a small chance this would ever happen, but who cares!! Surely I don't!! I promise you that it will be funny.

Mike Logan grunted as he was told he was assigned to attendance duty this week. That meant all morning for the next five days was spent calling up the reception desk for the list of names that were tardy or absent, calling Ross to see if there were any employees on vacation or business, put all the information together, print it out and hand it to Ross. Logan sadly picked up his office phone and dialed the number for the receptionist. It rang only a few seconds until an energetic voice came from the other side of the phone.

"Hello?" a perky female voice asked. God I hate morning people Logan thought. "Morning Holly. I got assigned to attendance duty" Logan said sadly while reaching out to grab a paper and pen. "Can you give me the list of names today that were lat and absent?"

"Sure!" Holly yelled through the phone. Logan squeezed his eyes shut as Holly's scream rang through his ears. A minute later Holly came back on the phone. "Okay, here is the list. Albert Adams late, Marcy Batherson absent, Carl Davenport late, Alex Eames late…" Logan's eyes widened. This had better be my three cups of coffee kicking in he thought. Eames is never late to work, minus the time when she was pregnant with her nephew. While think what was wrong with Eames, Holly continued to read down the list. "Abigail Farrar absent, Robert Goren late…" Logan nearly jumped out of his chair when he heard that Mr. First Guy in the Office Goren was actually late.

"Holly" Logan said interrupting Holly. "What time did Eames and Goren come in?" Holly fumbled with some papers and then came back on the phone. "Well, Ms. Eames arrived at 8:30 and Mr. Goren came in once when Ms. Eames stepped in the elevator. But Mr. Logan I don't think that the times were required…" Holly never got to finish her sentence when Logan hung up and began to write his clever scheme.

After calling back Holly for the rest and calling up Ross, Logan finally finished his attendance. He quickly printed the list out from the printer in the lounge and rushed straight towards Ross' office. Ross was on the phone, so Logan silently put it on his desk and went back to his desk. He turned around and looked at Ross' office to spy on his boss' reaction.­­­

Once when he hung up, Ross noticed the attendance list waiting patiently on his desk. Since he didn't want to dig in his paperwork just yet, Ross grabbed the paper and began to read it.

Albert Adams LATE That's the fifth time this month! Ross thought.

Alex Eames LATE BECAUSE SHE WAS BUSY SCREWING GOREN

Ross' eyes opened wide and looked up to see Logan quickly turning his back to him. He decided that he would ask Logan about this later as he continued down the list.

Abigail Farrar VACATION About time, she really needed one.

Robert Goren LATE BECAUSE HE WAS BUSY SCREWING EAMES

Now Ross was furious. By this time it was claimed by many people in New Jersey that they heard a faint yell saying "LOGAN!"
