For daughterxofxapollo. Merry Christmas.

Life is full of beauty. Notice it.

Notice the bumble bee, the small child, and the smiling faces.

Smell the rain, and feel the wind.

Live your life to the fullest potential, and fight for your dreams.

Remus tugged at his tie. Mrs. Potter had put it in quite a knot. The Potters always threw the annual Christmas Party. He looked over at James. He seemed to be having a great time; he had his arm wrapped around his faithful Lily and surrounding them were a group of friends. They were all hanging on his every word; it was so easy for him to make friends.

On James' other side was the ever handsome Sirius. He looked so handsome even though he was wearing the ugliest Christmas tie on earth. It had bells dangling and lights flashing off of it. It was a gift from Mrs. Potter. You see Sirius never really liked his mother so he loves Evelyn Potter as if she were his own mother.

There were little groups of James' cousins trying to catch Sirius' eye. Not all of them were women either. Yes, he was that beautiful. It made Remus feel uneasy. So many people would kill to be at Sirius side. Remus could only dream that Sirius would realize his feelings for him.

Remus had had enough and walked out. He went over to the double doors and quietly as he could, slipped through them without drawing too much attention to himself. Remus leaned against the brick wall and stared up at the waxing moon.

He could feel the change; three more days. He dreaded it. He reached into his coat pocket and took out a cigarette. He reached into his other pocket and got the last match. Running the match against the wall it ignited. Remus lit his cigarette and slipped it into his mouth; taking in a deep breath.

"I thought I told you to stop smoking those things."

Remus exhaled and watched the smoke float around him.

"I didn't hear you come out Sirius."

Sirius shrugged and stood against the wall next to Remus. "They make your breath smell like an ash tray."

"Why do you care about the scent of my breath?" Remus flicked the cigarette away and put it out with his shoe.

"Oh I don't know…Maybe…So I could do this." Sirius quickly took Remus' face in his hands and planted his lips against Remus'.

"Merry Christmas Remus."

"Merry Christmas Sirius."

Remus hooked his arm around Sirius waist and leaned in for another kiss.
