A/N: This is something I thought-of when I received a ridiculous mail from one of my friends. I'm a superstitious person… so there!

The wind blew a cold breeze onto my face. I guess it's the start of winter, huh? Stupid calendar dates… There's nothing printed that's accurate anymore. There was a time that everyone could rely on the papers for information… but now, even the crappy seasons are mixed-up. Global Warming, huh?
Well, anyway. Last night, I received a mail from one of my friends that a KILLER radiowave was to hit cellphones around the country. Of course, I believe in the paranormal, but I don't believe in such bullshit. But it was better safe than sorry, right? And so, after passing that particular message to everyone I know, I closed my cellphone just before my digital clock hit 11 o'clock.
Bread on my mouth and bag in-hand, I ran-up the ridiculously steep slope that lead to my school. By the time I got to school, I felt like my uniform had just come-out of the washing machine twice. But with sweat instead of detergents! Yuck!
It was about 6:40 am. Boy, am I early! I walked-around and saw Kyon by the old tree we used to hang-around in. I guess he's earlier than me. Well, he can't penalize me anyway!
"Hey, Kyon!"
I called him from afar and waved my hand lively.
He faced me with a blank expression on his face. What's his problem?
"What is it now?"
I ran-up to him wearing the cutest smile I could create.
"Did you receive my mail last night?"
His eyes narrowed to the point that it was as thick as a piece of paper.
"Oh, you mean that little thing about radiowaves?"
I nodded my head.
"Those things are nothing but pranks; started by one person, then passed-around by everyone else. I don't buy those things."
I swear, he's getting full of himself from the day I confessed to him. Oh well…
"Well, I think it's better to be safe than sorry, right?"
He shrugged.
"I don't think you should fall for those kinds of things so quickly, Haruhi."
"That's why I told you that it's better to be safe than sorry!"
And besides, what WOULD you do if some cancer-causing radiowave hit your head while you were talking to someone on the phone? I'd bet you'd panic the moment you realize what happened!
"Well, it's okay. There's nothing bad about turning your cellphone off once in a while."
I guess he understood what I said.
He smiled at me and held-out his right hand.
"But, you're still too gullible to believe something like that. Idiot…"
I couldn't help but laugh.
I took his hand and we both went our way to the classroom. It was already 7:15 then. I guess time flies when you're having such a conversation, right?

Well, that's it. I thought this'd be a great way to gain momentum on other fanfics I've been writing.
A/N: There were no proof-readers of this story (I told you that I just thought of this, ne?). FLAMES NOT ALLOWED!
