Safe And Sound - Porpentina Scamander
The day was hot, yet a cool breeze blew across Dorset. Porpentina Scamander sat lazily on a chair in her garden watching as Hoppy, Milly and Mauler ran around the backyard, there full, bushy tails puffed up behind them. She heard a scuffle behind her and turned to the house, to see Newt coming out of the house with a tray full of cool lemonade.
"Luna, boys, there's lemonade here!" She called to the bottom of the yard, where Luna and her two sons, Lorcan and Lysander were playing with Rolf near a small duck pond. The Kneazles had joined them at one point and were batting playfully at the ducks that took off in fright, afraid of the large cat-like creatures that only wanted to play.
"Coming, Grandma!" Rolf called back, scooping Lorcan from the ground and spinning him around wildly. The toddler giggled in joy and Lysander tugged on his mother's dress, wanting to do the same. Luna smiled brilliantly at him and picked him up, whizzing him around the bottom of the garden too.
Porpentia looked on and smiled to herself. Her husband sat down beside her and took her hand, and she smiled at him. Her family were finally safe and sound.
