I'm going to do it this time. Yes! No more chickening out and running away like a scared dog who was swatted on the butt with a newspaper.Willow Rosenberg stood in the middle of the Lesbian Alliance group, looking out across all the other women, yet only seeing one. The Blonde. She had no idea who she was or why she was so drawn to her, but she knew that there was something there. Something that had sparked something in herself that had felt long ago had left the dating scene over two years earlier after a horrendous break-up with her one and only lover. She had started to come to the meetings a few months back, in hopes of starting to put her self out there again without having to jump head first into the deep end. All hope of that ended the same day that the blonde walked into that first meeting. At first the blonde was a matter of curiosity to the little redhead, but quickly it became a matter of attraction. The mystery woman had join the group about a month ago, yet never really spoke to anyone. She would show up to the meetings but never hung out afterwards. Today Willow had decided to walk up to her and at least ask her what her name was. You can do it Rosenberg. That's it! Just put one foot in front of the other. Your almost there. Okay you made it. Now, here's the important part. SAY SOMETHING!"Hello." Nice shy blonde looked up from where she was staring at the floor. The redhead was nearly bowled over by the beauty and intensity of the blonde's crystal blue eyes."Hello. My names Willow Rosenberg. Although everybody calls me Will. You can call me Willow if you want to though. But you can call me Will too." STOP BABBALING YOU MORON!Willow stopped yelling at her self just in time to hear the small laugh escaping the blonde's lips. "And your name, if I may ask?"The blonde looked up and the redhead and responded almost inaudibly. "I'm Tara MaClay.""It's nice to meet you Tara." Willow smiled big at gave a half smile in return. " Nice to meet y-y-you too."Okay now that the hard part s over all I have to do is the easy stuff. Just ask her out for coffee. The non-date/date drink of choice."So," the petite woman asked," I know that this is coming out of nowhere and all, but I have seen you around here and I was wondering if there was anyway that you might want to go with me to get some coffee. I mean it doesn't have to be a date. It can be just friends, that is unless you want it to be a date and then it can be a date."Tara looked at Willow with a quizzical look. "How do you do that?""Do what?" "Say all of that in one breath without passing out?"Willow got a little shy. "Oh, I don't really know. I've just always been able to do it."Tara looked at the redhead in front of her and then smiled. " I would love to go on a coffee date with you.""You would! Really! Great!" Willow was so excited. "How about tomorrow after your last class?""That would be great. How about we meet right here tomorrow at say noon?""That sounds great. I'll be here." Willow smiled."Okay, I have to go now but I will see you here tomorrow at noon."As Willow watched Tara's retreating form she couldn't help but to smile at herself. See I remember how to do this whole thing of asking a girl out. With the smile on her face she bid good-bye to a few friends and headed towards home. All the while thinking to herself that she had a date to look forward too.THE END
