The blush

I do not own card captor Sakura

She hadn't expected to run into him at the amusement park, so she was surprised when he did. She missed him though. She missed him a lot. So she cherished the time they spent together. When her best friend Tomoyo suggested she'd treat him to dinner, she was embarrassed but couldn't say no. So they sat in her living room, drinking tea and eating some of her dad's cake, feeling a little awkward. Shaoran stared in a blank space while Sakura looked very tense. Once they were done eating, they sat on the couch and ate some cookies. When both of them were about to reach for the bowl, Shaoran's hand brushed against her own and he quickly withdrew it with a deep blush on his face.

"S… sorry…"

She shook her head.

"That's okay."

Then the silence hit him them. In fact, it sucked the air out of their lungs. Sakura could feel her lungs cramp in anxiety as they screamed for air. She gulped and opened her mouth to speak.

"Shaoran Kun…" she began and he listened.

"About you, Shaoran Kun… I… I…"

The words were stopped in her throat and her heart. She took another breath of air before she tried again. She closed her eyes and spoke, the blush evident on her face and the anxiety radiating from her voice.

"The truth is… the truth is…"

She opened her eyes to meet his own.

"The truth is… I love you Shaoran… more than anyone else…" she said and looked down shyly, looking very embarrassed.

"I love you too…," he said and she looked up to meet his smile.

"Sakura…" he finished and she returned his smile with her own.

She sighed happily and brought him into a hug. She never knew his embrace felt so warm. After a few seconds, they parted and gazed into each other's eyes. Shaoran's gaze was locked on Sakura's green emerald eyes and her eyes were fixated on his own brown eyes, leaving the two completely mesmerized. They slowly leaned forward, pouting their lips, and were millimeters away from their first kiss…

When their lips touched, they were overcame and washed over by a rush of happiness and feeling of exhilaration. Sakura wrapped her arms around his neck as he placed his around her waist. After what seemed like eternity, they parted, yet she hung in his embrace and looked at him with a smile.

"Now I'm really glad you're back from Hong Kong," she said sweetly and he kissed her briefly again.

"So am I…" he said and kissed her once more and rested in her embrace as she rested in his as they slowly fell asleep, cuddled up on her living room sofa, happy to be a couple…

The end…

So, for a while (okay a long while), I've wondered how things would have turned out if Sakura hadn't been interrupted by her older brother or anything else when she tried to tell him how she felt, so this is one of things I had in mind. But you can bet, that I have a few more ideas up my sleeve for how the second movie should have turned out, but you'll just have to wait and see…
