A/N: Okay, so I originally wrote this in a rough play form just to get my idea down, but I've never felt like actually going back and flushing it out. So I'm publishing it as is. Sorry if the lack of proper storytelling annoys you.

Pajamas

Kurama: Yusuke, where's Keiko?

Yusuke: Eh, she said something about going to shop for new pajamas.

Kuwubara: Hey! I need some new pajamas, too! I shoulda gone with her!

Hiei: What in the seven hells is a "pajamas"?

Yusuke: You mean you don't know what pajamas are, Hiei?

Hiei: I just said that. -_-

Kurama: Relax, Hiei. Pajamas are clothing that one wears to sleep in.

Hiei: Huh? What is the purpose of that?

Kurama: Well, many people feel that their day clothes are too uncomfortable or too dirty or too valuable to wear to bed, so they have nightwear which is more comfortable.

Hiei: That's ridiculous. I wear the same clothes to sleep in every night, and I always have!

Yusuke: Yeah, but you always sleep in trees. I'd sleep in my clothes, too, if I was sleeping out in the open like you.

Hiei: Hn.

*a little while later…*

Hiei: I still don't get it! Why don't humans just sleep without ANY clothes, if they're trying to be comfortable?

Kuwubara: Huh? Oh, right, Hiei must be talking about pajamas again.

Yusuke: Well gee, I dunno…

Kurama: It's because most humans live in close quarters with other humans for significant portions of their lives, and would feel awkward being less than fully covered in front of others. Like when the four of us were sharing the hotel suite with Genkai during the Dark Tournament.

Hiei: I vividly remember an unpleasant view of the oaf's boxer shorts on at least one occasion… *eye twitch*

Kurama: And that's why he SHOULD have been wearing pajamas!

Kuwubara: Hey! I just SAID that I wanted to shop for new ones, okay?

Yusuke: Chill, big guy, I'll take you to go buy some right now. That way Hiei won't have to complain about your kitten boxer shorts anymore…

Kuwubara: WHY YOU…!

*exit Yusuke & Kuwubara, arguing loudly all the way out of earshot*

*that night, at Kurama's apartment*

Hiei: Well, Fox, do YOU own these "pajamas"?

Kurama: Yes, Hiei, I do, for the benefit of my mother. But with you, however, I have no need…. ;)

Hiei: I'm glad. *evil smirk*
