Jubilation Lee hummed a song to herself as she traveled through the darkness. It was a tiring journey and a long one as well. Heck, it may have lasted for years, for millennia; it's not like Jubilee could keep track. Only darkness surrounded her, with the occasional taunting flash of someone like her acting completely unlike her. She saw this fake Jubes break up with Sammy, who Jubilee really did care for, if not in the way he seemed to care for her. She saw fake Jubes hit on Bobby, and that was gross because Jubilee's gay-dar totally spotted Drake as straight as a circle and head over heels for Mr. McCoy, plus Jubilee didn't dig brunettes at all. She preferred blondes. Jubilee felt horrible as fake Jubes repeatedly stamped on poor Sammy's heart. She knew it wasn't her doing it, but Jubilee still felt as though she was the one responsible for it. If only she could get out from this darkness and back to the light, maybe then she could help Sammy.
As more time passed in the darkness, she saw Sam get comfort from that quick guy, what's-his-face Maximoff. The way the two kissed lifted a burden off of Jubilee's shoulders, seeing that fake Jubes hadn't done permanent damage to her friend. Jubilee also saw fake Jubes get the shock of her life as Mr. McCoy nearly killed her before beginning to ravish Bobby in front of everyone in the main hallway. That was one way to break out of the closet, Jubilee surmised with a grin. Too bad Jubilee couldn't witness the event in real life, only through the eyes of fake Jubes. Oh well, once Jubilee broke free, she'd apologize for fake Jubes's actions and she and Sammy and Bobby could be the best of friends again, a real world Golden Trio.
Jubilee could finally see a light up ahead, far in the distance. The Chinese-American girl picked up the pace, eager to get out of the damn darkness and see her friends again. Plus, now she could ogle Warren Worthington the Third again, God, she had missed doing that with Bobby. Maybe Sam could join in and maybe Maximoff, too. As Jubilee broke out into a run, she grinned wildly and perhaps a bit insanely. Finally, she was going home. So this is what Dorothy like! Jubilee broke out into the sad song she was humming before, the one Rahne sang sometimes, "You take the high road, And I'll take the low road, But I'll end up in Scotland before you! But me and my true love will never meet again, On the bonny banks of Loch Lomond. . ."

I've come to realize that asking for reviews at the end of all my stories is annoying. So, you don't have to review if you don't wish to do so. However, I would appreciate it greatly if you would.
