For as long as Johanna can remember she has been in the guardianship of Judge Turpin. As far as she is aware her parents perished when she was just a wee babe. Her father in a tragic fire that engulfed the family home, and her mother stricken with grief falling ill of a broken heart just a few months later. At least that is the story her guardian told her time and time again.

The reality of the matter is Johanna Penelope Barker is so much more than the orphan daughter of a Barber Surgeon. She is the last daughter of Lungbarrow, a child of Gallifrey as her mother, Grandfather, and Great-Grandfather were before her. All she needs is a Doctor to unlock those little memoires that remain dormant in her mind.

"Johanna" Molly the rather mousey housemaid knocked on the girl's door. Johanna as always was sitting by the widow still with her head in the clouds. Molly let herself in, and with a stern grunt. "Come on now girl mustn't keep your guardian waiting.

The girl sighed and stood up from the widow, not yet dressed. "Sorry Molly" she said as the maid pulled out her blue dress to wear. "When are you going to act your age, miss?" the maid scuffed as she pulled the dress over the young girl's head.

"When My Guardian treats me as such." She said silently.

Walking down the staircase Johanna heard her guardian talking to a man in the study. The Judge's voice seemed rather bothered. She stopped on the stars and peeked into the open door from the railings. A man was standing with his back to her, wail her guardian talked to him.

"What do you want with the girl?" the judge said in haste. "You have no right to her anyway."

The man with his back to her, spoke softly to her uncle, so softly that she could not hear a word he has said to the old man. Only when her guardian repeated them did she understand this man was here for her. "What you say is false." Turpin ruffled. "Lucy Smith was the daughter for the late Doctor Smith, a man who died years before the girl was even born, I have his death record in my desk." The judge showed the man a piece of paper.

"Rather convincing," the man said in full voice. "But the body was never found." He repeated, "The fire destroyed most of his laboratory."

"Ah, come on Judge, you should know better than that!" he exclaimed. "Haven't you ever seen something different in the girl's eyes? Haven't you heard the twin drums?"

"Who are you?" Turpin hesitated what this man said was true, there was something different about Johanna's eyes, and her heartbeat no doctor has ever been able to make sense of those infernal twin beats.

The mysterious man just smiled and turned around, to a young pale imp of a thing standing in the doorway. His grin grew as he realized it was Johanna with hair as yellow as her mother's. He replied ever so coyly. "I'm her Grandfather."
