Not So Angry
Hermione reclined on the bed, a blanket over her body and a pillow under her head. Her wand was lit up as she read her book, her eyes moving over the page as she hungrily devoured the words.
Remus walked into the room. His cardigan was a bit misshapen and his trousers were wrinkled, but he had an excited glint in his eyes. "Hello, my love. Did you miss me?" he asked happily.
Hermione said, "Nox," shutting the wand's light off. She then put her book face down on her lap and crossed her arms over her chest. "You're late."
Remus pointed his wand and said a quick incantation and the whole room was bathed in a soft glow. "I know I said I'd be home earlier, but—"
"But nothing," Hermione interrupted, "I don't want to hear your excuses. You're late, and you didn't fire-call or send an owl, letting me know you'd be late. It was inconsiderate of you."
Remus didn't lose his smile despite her sharp tone. "I have a surprise for you."
"What could you possibly say that would make me not so angry?"
"Not say so much as do and make happen."
Hermione waited a bit, but when nothing was forthcoming, she asked, "Well? What is it?"
Remus' grin was almost predatory. He cocked his head to the side as if he heard something. "What was that?"
Hermione thought her boyfriend might have finally lost his mind. "I didn't hear anything."
"Oh really? Are you sure?"
Hermione sat up straighter. The blanket cascaded at her hip. "Stop playing games and just do whatever you want to do."
"Come in," Remus called to someone unseen.
Hermione's eyes widened when Charlie stepped into the room. She clutched the blanket to her chest even though she was completely decent. "What's going on?"
"Do you remember what we talked about the other night? About fantasies that we wished we could act out but thought they would never happen?'
Recognition dawned in her brain. "You told him. How could you? I told you all of that because I expected my boyfriend to keep it between us? If I knew you'd blab it, I wouldn't have trusted you."
"Hermione, calm down," Remus said, "Yes, I did tell Charlie that you fantasized about a threesome with him as our third, but I only told him because I knew for sure he would be up for it."
Hermione narrowed her eyes. "How could you possibly know for sure if Charlie would be interested in something like that?"
Charlie decided to interject into the conversation. "Because Remus saw the way I look at you. I would have never have acted on it of course, but if I'm told I have a chance to be with you, I'm not going to say no."
Hermione gulped. "Remus, are you sure about this? You would have to watch another man kiss me, another man touch me."
Remus sat on the bed. "It might be kind of hot."
Charlie sat on the other side of the bed.
Hermione was sandwiched between them. She looked first at Remus, and then at Charlie. "Now what?"
"Now, we enjoy each other," Charlie murmured, brushing a finger through Hermione's curly hair.
"As long as everyone remembers it's just for one night," Remus warningly said, cutting a glance at Charlie.
The redhead nodded. "Understood."
Hermione fell backward onto the bed as the two men laid down beside her. Remus had done it. He had found a way to make her not so angry.
