Sasuke gently turned another page in his book, trying not to make too much noise. He'd picked up the annoying habit of reading all the time from Kakashi-sensei, though he chose slightly less perverted reading material.
He shifted slightly on his tree branch and then froze when he heard a rustle from somewhere above him in his tree. Closing his book silently, he tucked it into a pocket and waited. A moment later a figure dropped down from the branch above, hanging upside down.
"Ha! Found you!"
"Well done, dobe. It only took you twenty minutes. Remind me to stand in front of you if we ever play hide-and-seek again."
Naruto opened his mouth to reply but was interrupted by an ominous cracking noise. Before either boy could do anything, the branch Naruto hung from snapped and he was sent tumbling through the air, landing directly on Sasuke.
Sasuke was reminded forcibly of the time in Iruka-sensei's classroom when they had accidentally kissed as Naruto's lips landed on his own. The two boys froze, unsure of what to do. Last time they had leapt apart in horror but this time it didn't seem the right thing to do.
After a few seconds Naruto pulled back but remained hovering over Sasuke, only a few centimetres away, his hot breath ghosting over Sasuke's now tingling lips.
"That was…" Naruto trailed off, unsure of himself.
"Pathetic?"
"What? I was thinking unexpected."
"No," Sasuke said, feeling bolder "definitely pathetic."
"How was it pathetic?"
"It was the worst kiss ever."
"It wasn't supposed to be a kiss!" Naruto cried.
"I think it was but you don't want to admit it because it was so bad. You're just a bad kisser."
"I am not!"
"Prove it."
Damn it! Naruto thought and crushed their lips together. It wasn't a bad kiss.
"Well?" Naruto asked as they broke apart, a pretty blush painting his cheeks.
"It could have been better," Sasuke said with a small shrug.
"I'd better practise then," Naruto said, grinning slightly before leaning down to kiss him again.
